  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Is it possible...????

Yeah to Raw!

I hope it does the trick for Sadie. I know Denna loves it, and she's doing great with lots of solids in the yard. :) We used a probiotic when we made the transition. Not sure if it helped, but figured it couldn't hurt.

As for 'fresh-killed' meat, I've never heard that either. If anything, I hear the opposite. Especially for wild game (venison, elk, fish, etc.) FREEZE for a few weeks to kill off parasites.

I treat Denna's meat the same as ours - I get human grade stuff (other than green tripe) and rinse before use.

We keep to mixing our own meals and don't go the pre-made route here at home. It's nice to have available as a backup, and dehydrated might be the go-to product when Denna's being boarded. But, the dogs get a better benefit from whole meats versus ground. The big chunks of meat act as dental floss. Also, I'm a control freak. So, I'd rather know exactly what went into the food dish. And, if you're dealing with medical issues, there are some definite benefits in the control aspect as well.

Sadie's Mom, Not sure if you saw but I went through similar with Jade but she would puke, no diarrea, anytime she had kibble. So I went full raw with her and added Ginger and cottage cheese to her morning meal. After a couple weeks I gave her just a little wetted kibble in the morning 2 hours before her normal raw meal. She has not vomited since the change over and can now eat RAW or kibble freely. Some dogs just can't tolerate kibble well.

I started the raw on Saturday night and she had solid poo on Sunday and today was also solid. Before Saturday, I can count on one hand how many times she has produced poo solid enough to pick up. It is amazing how poo can make you so happy!!

This is very good to hear. Now in 2 more days go tell your vet how to cure the next pup with this problem. Print out a RAW feeding guide for him/her too.

Funny....I was just there with an "I told you so" attitude. Well, her regular vet was not there today, so I just told the vet tech. And they tried to collect money for a fecal I had no idea they ran. I told them that I am not paying for it and that I most likley will look for a new vet.
