improper coat

Hi I'm new to the cane corso breed and I wanted to know if my pup has an improper coat I will post a pic of him first then his sister they are 6 weeks.

no ones going to help me out? his sister is the first pic, he is the second two. I just wanted to know if his coat is outside of standard? thanks

It looks like he is a really black brindle but it is hard to see the full cost in those pics. Brindle is an acceptable coat pattern for the CC. Hopefully one of those knowledgeable in the breed answer, I own a very black brindle EM.

yes he is black and brindle, I will try to take a better pic he dosent like to sit still very energetic. Also thanks for the reply!

if you mean the texture and "fuzziness" , for lack of a better word .... it very well be the topcoat is not showing through the undercoat yet ...... it happens sometimes , the topcoat eventually comes through and the coat looks normal ......... not that long coats don't pop up in many breeds . if it's the undercoat it'll be very soft and fluffy ........

I think his coat might be a little to long, can you tell me how to measure it and what length it should be? lastly when he was born he's the first of the litter he had a coat like his sister in the first pic. thanks

you probably should wait on the adult coat to come in ..... i'm sure the coat in the breed has some variation , most breeds do .........

The breed is typically known for a cow coat (more coarse) but climate can affect that somewhat. As for the colour brindle is an accepted colour within the breed.
