Ok so yesterday morning as I was getting ready for work I noticed Bella charging her boundaries.... I look and I see a man trying to gain control over his two dogs.... I finally throw my house coat on and go out to call Bella off..... As I warn this guy to get control over his dogs that Bella could seriously hurt his dogs......As I walk to grab Bella I see one of his dogs has broken free from her harness, rushes into Bella's boundaries and attacks Bella! Bella 2xs the size of this chow mix puts the chow down with one paw then grabs the chow by the throat! My thoughts is .... Holy shit Bella! I called Bella off.... She releases the other dog and heads to me.... The other dog regains her footing and attacks Bella again! Once more Bella turns pushes this other dog to the grown with one paw and holds her there by the throat!
Bella's not hurting the other dog as this chow, struggling to get up. I call Bella off again as the other owner grabs his dog I walk Bella to the house. I came back out of the house to help this guy get control over his 2 dogs. I held the lab mix...good girl really, as he kept trying to reclip the harness on the chow mix dog. He finally gives up in that and clips her collar and doesn't the chow just back out of it....This poor guy was shaken so much I know he thought his dog was dead....
I have to hand it to him though.... This morning he was out there again walking his dogs the same route he does every day... Except he was across the road from our property..... I bet that's the last time he allows his dogs to poop on my front lawn....and he never picks up after.

Bella held the high road on that one, she could have easily took care of business. She sounds awesome, only doing what was needed to protect herself and you.

Good job, Bella! Way to listen!!
Silly chows aren't always that bright...
Glad to hear the guy was right back on the leash, though - hopefully with a better grip, and a collar that won't slip off!

Me too. Bella watched them walk by....but acted like she didn't care...I'm so blessed

I watched a program on the Doggie Channel...it was about mastiffs titled, "Is this the right woof for you?" It was stated that mastiffs "knock down and hold, and they are big enough to knock down and hold ANYBODY." That may not be quite true, but your dog, Bella, is a corker for sure. Good going, Bella. Hey Sheila, I like the way you are a "well known" member. Awesome. Speaking of "cleanups", ever feel like calling a backhoe operator when trying how to get that much in a Piggy Wiggly bag??

Yes i noticed that as well Paster Dave, thank, you'll get there too soon... I'm just a little more chatting then you are right now ;)

As far as cleanup there really isn't much, because I have the dogs on raw diet and no grains, there really is very little waste. So no backhoe needed.

Mr. Chev has to learn that as he matures....little yappy dogs put Chev to flight ???View attachment 60924 Pic....yours truly and a giant trout.....one of those days !!!
Amazing fish and fisherman too!

That’s funny. The other day I was out of the room and I heard Bella whining so I peeked in to see.... Sunny my 6lb puffy poof poodle on the back of the couch and baring her teeth to Bella with only one paw on the couch trying to get on. Bella gave up and went to her doggie bed.

Nice catch Pastor Dave!...

Sophie guards Logan's bone. She doesn't even want it. She just doesn't think he should have it! She puts her paw on it and starts growling and baring her teeth, daring him to get near it. The bone is nearly as big as she is, she picks it up and runs with it! Lol. Small dogs are something else!! :)

It seems like whatever the one dog has in his/her possession, the other dog thinks that is the best, most desirable thing in the world, and the second dog has to have it !!! I had a minister buddy who, in the same way, thought I was being extravagant and sinful by owning a little pop-up Coleman Scan20264.JPG camper.....that is, until he could afford one. I guess people aren't too far behind our "best friends." Pic....someone make a cosmic error and invited me to teach a seminar at a university. I have to admit, it was a lot of fun teaching adults instead of 8th graders :)

Hahahaha Sunny tries that too but the bones are to big....when she tries to lift it her back end come up off the floor...so she pushes it with her nose instead.

Nice picture.... and as far as your friend having a bit of that green eyed monster.... well that's all human traits..... every now and then we're reminded of that.... I'm pretty sure the big guy was trying to show your friend and possibly you as well, that we're human and we all have at one time or another acted so. :D
