I currently have a 21 month old female and a 11 month old male and I am really getting all tingly for another. Does anyone have an experience introducing a 3rd dog into a pack that young. Ive had both pups since they were 10 weeks and in the time Ive had them there hasnt even been a single solitary angry growl between the two. The female gets along with other dogs usually pretty quickly. The male was scared but hes now super accepting of people but still anxious and kind of scared around other strange dogs. I am even torn between what sex to get. Having 2 intact males is probably asking for trouble, but Ive seen some issues with multiple female homes as well. My thinking is doing an addition while both are fairly young would be an easier integration to the pack than once they are older. But I could be totally wrong about that...

Heck yeah can never have enough. I'm not sure about a 3rd corso, but maybe another member could let you know. I think generally 2 males get along better than 2 females, ive also heard the opposite, but you gotta have have both of them neutered, 2 intact males i doubt they will live peacefully forever. I've never had 2 males or 2 females in the same house, so i can't say.

I have 4 Males and 1 Female dog. 3 are boxers and 1 Corso. The female is a yappy little thing that runs the show!!! Boxers are very territorial just as the Corso's. I even introduced the 3rd Boxer as an adult. He was 4 and the 2 other Boxers were 2 at the time. Only a few minor problems at the beginning. Now they all sleep together and even cuddle, even the cats sleep with them all. It just takes time and patience. Just make sure you still give them their individual time. Things like only pet one at a time and don't make one 1st in everything. Example is don't give the same one the 1st treat everytime, etc. It makes a huge difference. This is info. that came from my obedience trainer. Hope it helps!!

Ahhh, Ive always fed my old female first. Well, I feed them both in crates at the same time, I just put the bowl down for the girl 1st.

I don't think that would create an issue if they're in crates, I put all mine down in different orders every time but its all over the kitchen and most the time they walk around to all the bowls and eat out them! It's kinda like musical bowls!!

Haha, I'm still on my first but I really want another also. I guess it's a completely normal feeling...

We have 2 males now (puppy male is only 4.5 mths or so) and 3 intact females (1 is a puppy) and one spayed, queen Biatch :) Either or male or female can work as long as you know the personalty of the dog you currently have. If you have a dominant dog, then just ensure that the dog you bring in is comfortable being ranked second in the pack :)
