  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

I think I've lost my mind...

Oh, poor babies. My DD is going to college in Indy, it would be a good excuse to make a road trip. I wish I could help fatten one of those babies up.

Is it just me or do they look like dane mastiff crosses? they look real daney in the face and longer looking legs in some of the pics.

I was thinking this too, however, Duchess looked very Dane-ish for a long time. She has just started filling out. Thanks for taking both of them. My vote is AB takes one ;)

yeah they are very lanky. I honestly have no idea, except for what I was told. I have AKC paperwork but it just says Mastiff under breed. It has number for sire and dam, not sure if I can check into it further from that or not.

"Mastiff" is the AKC's designation for the EM. It confuses everyone.....

They do have a kinda skinny lanky look thats reminescent of danes, but they're also fairly clearly under-fed and god knows what their parents looked like.....

You can pay $10 for the AKC to send you apedigree if you really want one, or see if the parents are listed in a pedigree database via google search. You can also check and see if the parents had any health testing here: Orthopedic Foundation for Animals using yhe info you have

All it would tell you is if its a valid number or not basically
honestly I don't care lol just curious more than anything. Papers don't mean anything to me, I'm not selling, showing or breeding them. I'm sure they were byb's, probably had no testing or vet care, just based on the condition they are in. But they are super sweet and I'm sure I will have no problems finding one or both great homes :)

Amanda, OMG, you aren't smitten, you are addicted. Worse, there is no cure. You will just have to be licked until you come to your senses...prepare to be drooled! Best of luck. PS. How is Jax doing?

lol I have been told that there is therapy for everything! But dogs are my therapy so I think I'm screwed in this situation :) Jax is doing great! I thought I posted an update but I guess it didn't work. I'll post tonight :) These girls are so sweet! I just got up and came out into the garage, they both barked and then wiggled themselves silly at me. I never imagined that I would have two giant puppies at the same time! I just fed them and they break my heart. They eat like its their first and last meal. But there is no food aggression, thank God! Parker and Jax rarely lay on their beds so we gave them to the girls last night. They each picked their own and go lay down. Its so cute! They tore up a notepad overnight but that's all the damage that was done. We will see how today goes! I have to work so it should be interesting!

Great news! It has been 2 years since we got Ziva in an emaciated state and she still attacks food like it will be here last. Not sure they ever get over the trauma of being starved.

Here! Here! On taking them in!

It's wonderful that you were able to take them into your home. You knew you were sunk when you're husband said they were coming over, right? I'd be sunk too, but would LOVE a husband who brings me dogs! Ha Ha Ha!!
