Hey Everyone

How much should I be feeding my 11 wk EM female ??? Jenny turned 11 wks yesterday, and I have been giving her roughly 1 1/2 cups twice a day.

The bag the food comes in says for 2-3 mnths I should be giving around 3-3.5 cups a day ?? I thought that looked like ALOT of food

That sounds right. My EM is a year now and they eat alot when they're new. I got him at 9 weeks, and he ate that much. If it's too much, they will stop eating on their own. Just monitor it and if they walk away from the bowl, just pick it up because that probably means their full, but if you leave it down, they will come back and finish it off. They are some greedy little dogs.

At that age, I filled the bowl up (like 3 scoops worth) and let her have at it for a total of ten minutes, three times a day. Then after ten minutes, lift the bowl up and that's it. Then I took away the 3rd feeding once I noticed she wasn't eating as much during lunch time. At 7 months, she is now at 3 cups (actual cups) in the morning and 3 in the evening.

2-4 cups a day total, try and feed 3 times a day. Move it up to 3-5 cups at 12 weeks. They will stop eating if full. I believe the goal is to be able to see the last 2 ribs and hips..if you cant you are feeding em too much.

My 18 week old Corso eats 6 cups a day (3 in the morning, 3 at night) and is still lean, I can see her ribs. She is roughly 50-55lbs and 21 inches.
I think it is dependent on the dog. I am sure she would eat more, but I want her skinny, and fat puppies are a pet peeve of mine ;)
