  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Here's a fun one - what are your Corso's strange fears?

Now don't get me wrong, our CC is very comfortable, socialized, well rounded and loves EVERYONE but she has some weird things she's afraid of and we've had her since she was a pup so I have no idea why she doesn't like these things. Our last Corso had a few of these as well, so I'm curious if any of your dogs have these too?

Things our girl is afraid of (not hide afraid, but doesn't want anything to do with it):
-Going downstairs (yea, we had to take the elevator to training class before)
-Tape Measures (mostly when they expand)
-Pens (mostly when they point)

:D

Reno my seven month CC took 4 months to go up and down the stairs. He started with down the basement stairs first and it took him another month to finally head up my 2nd level story (i thought it would never happen, I know the feeling). other fears include...
Cars he is petrified
and of course wary about the vacuum

Reno will be going away for on board training next month for a wide array of things and walking on the street is one of them. As for the stairs he is a master at them now we just had to be patient and have faith in him...The vacuum he is getting a custom to and is starting to sneak around it when its off to sniff.

When I'm blow drying my hair with my head down, if Trinity gets a blast of the heat she goes nuts at it. She'll also have an episode at tape measures, power drills... And good luck shoveling around her, she'll go after it. Especially the big scoop, she'll even end up taking a spin on it while noshing at the metal bars.

Parker doesn't like statues in yards that we walk past. He usually ends up walking into me because he has to watch it as we pass. Jax used to be afraid of the vacuum but its now his favorite thing to attack. I don't think that dog is afraid of anything!

These are all hilarious! Amanda F. you reminded me, Grace wants nothing to do with those halloween decorations everyone puts out in front of their house, especially the ones that move. She does the same thing your dog does with statues! She had an interesting time being re-introduced to Christmas lights that were hung outside peoples houses this year too! Surprisingly this one is fine with the vacuum. Stairs? We're still trying...

My puppy really dislikes the vacuum and the dryer...I mean he doesn't run away, but he tries to stay away as much as possible :)
On the contrary, he is completely frightened by the mixer ! When my granda makes some cakes, he would flee sooo quickly :)

Hera is scared of the tape measure. I have no idea why but as soon as it sees it expand she wants nothing to do near it

Right now mine is not a fan of cars. When we are out walking he has to stop and watch them pass, especially the loud ones. He is just now getting used to car rides (it has been 7 days). Today for the 1st time he got in the car himself without me having to pick him up!

LOL...love this topic. Crickett didn't like the Halloween decorations that moved either...my neighbor had a huge spider that walked toward the sidewalk when you would walk by....she lost her mind. She also doesn't like balloons. No fear of the vacuum...I have to vacuum around her LOL

What a great topic! I love your answers!
My 7 month old Vito is a really calm dog, nothing phases him, but last week when I was using the food processor he lost his mind! He came barreling into the kitchen and screeched to a halt beside me. He stared up at the processor with his head tilted sideways and did his "indoor voice" woofs. It was hilarious!
Crazy dogs.

They are so crazy. I changed our shower curtain a couple of months ago - I got it for like $8 at Bed Bath and Beyond on clearance and I thought it was kind of nice. Well I hung it, and Grace went nuts. It has circles on it in different colors and she barked at it like it was intruding in our house for a good 15 minutes before I shut the door to the bathroom. A couple hours later I opened the door and she started barking at it and inspecting it again. I took a video that time and if I can figure out how, I'll post the video here. I couldn't understand it, it was a new shower curtain. That's it. Not a new member or stranger to the house.... BUT if a new stranger enters the house she's all happy and wants petting! Heaven forbid a new shower curtain! Love her crazy ass!

Stella is afraid of the TV remote. I realized this when one day she was on my lap and I grabbed the remote and she looked very concerned about it. We couldn't think of a single bad experience she could have had with it. Anyways, she has never touched the remote, she wants nothing to do with it. I am not really interested in trying to have her get over this 'fear' considering all the photos of chewed remote controls I've seen :)
