Hello everyone!!
I am a new Cane Corso owner. I have had large dogs through out my life for example..rotts, red tick hunting dogs.. I now have a 11 week old cane corso puppy I named "Gia". She is extremely intelligent and some what of a quick learner, she can be stubborn..My brother has an English Mastiff that made me fall in love with the Mastiff Breeds..
Gia reflects all the characteristics of her breed already stubborn, loyal to no end, quick learner, very high strung when I first wake up and get home..
With all of that being said any advice I could get on food, (I feed her 4 cups of Natures Recipe large breed puppy a day), Training, and just info on the breed in general would be fantastic;
and before anyone asks, yes I did a ton of research on the breed before I got her.. I am just looking for any advice or insight that I can get in order to raise her the best way possible and provide for her the best that I can.

Welcome aboard~ Can't wait to see pics. For answers to your questions, search the forum and you will see a wealth of information.

My only advice is to do obedience training around 6 months but start simple commands before that time. Start with sit, stay, come, and leave it. Do one command at a time until she does it consistently.

Be sure to exercise her body and mind to keep the chewing down a little. Provide her with alternatives to your furniture such as frozen wash cloths, nylabones, kong toys, tennis balls and/or stuff animals.

Requires a ton of patience and consistency in training.

Keep us posted on Gia's progress.

If you are unable to find answers to your questions via search, post your question and you'll receive a wealth of information.

Hi and welcome!
I am a CC addict myself. Can't wait to see your girl. Honestly there are better ppl here to give you food advice, as I am no expert on it.
We feed ours Acana all stages grain free and have been happy with it. I know the protein is a little high, but they seem to do good on it.
As for training, I have owned and worked with various breeds in my life and honestly have yet to come across a breed as easy to train as a Corso.
They want to learn and please in a bad way :)
If you have any questions just throw them out there and I am sure someone will be able to answer you.
