Have to change food Again!

Depends on the yogurt, if its live culture and you know the store well enough to know that they'd not have allowed it to freeze or get to hot then yup.

Otherwise possibly not.

Babies are easier then this LMAO
I had 3 and well it was easy compared to Linc. And I have never known any other breed to be so difficult. But I will so do it again and again and again.

Nutrisource pure vita line has grain free bison and salmon if you need to stay away from chicken. Their calcium/phos numbers are exactly the same as nutrisource.

Ok,
So the switch to.TOTW was not working out very well. But instead of switching to a different brand I decided to try the Sierra Mountain lamb and rice. BINGO, he actually asked for more after his dinner last night. The last few weeks he has been very picky since on the pacific salmon or what ever its called (fish one). He would go eat a bit then walk away, then do it again. He was on some days only eating 3 cups of food.
With this new stuff his face is buried in that bowl till its done
Yaaaaaaaaaaa
I am happy now

But I have also heard that you should not keep your dog on lamb for long periods of time?

I have no idea where I heard it.
All I can say is Linc LOVES it so he is staying with it.
Unless my husband caves and agrees raw is best. But I don't think that will happen anytime soon

I wouldn't worry about it in kibble form.

If you were feeding a raw diet high in lamb then I'd look at it closer, for example when I feed alot of buffalo (which I get when the local farm cleans out their freezerburnt stuff or when they can convince their slaughter-er to package up the "scraps" for me) I have to add actual fat to their diet (usually in the form of suet), so there may be an issue like that if you were to feed it raw, but in kibble form I'd not worry about it.

The way he went after that kibble and actually enjoyed it all at one time Im sooooo not changing it.

Thank you for all your help with this, and everything else you respond too. It's much appreciated!

Now that Linc is well into his second bag of TOTW he is eating much better but his stools are still somewhat loose. No more dairy queens but still mushy to the touch. Some are perfect. I can't believe how freely we talk about bm's lmao
I have read that it can take upwards of 6 weeks for bm's to become normal after a switch. Is there truth to this?
I have also found he is pooping more. Yes he is eating better but 4-5 times a day he craps and there not small

Whats his body condition look like, how much does he weigh and how much are you feeding him?

Yup, it can take 6-8 weeks to really normalize, which is why when trying to figure out allergies its recommended to be strict for at least 6-8 weeks.

He is 130lbs and his body is in perfect condition. He is lean, but not skinny.
He gets 3 cups in the am and 3 1/2 in the evenings. He gets no treats anymore except kibble or a little piece of freeze dried raw. I had got a sample of the freeze dried raw and he Loves Loves it. So when I need his attention I just have to show him the bag and he instantly goes into a sit no matter where he is. It is something I use only on rare occasions.
I have completely stopped any additives to his food. He was becoming to dependant on treats. But I have only ever given fruits and veggies

Well, thats not an excessive amount of food. Give him a few more weeks and see how he does. If he's still producing a ton of poop after 6-8 weeks then either he needs less or he may need a different food unfortunately.

I figured I'd buy another big bag and see come the end of it. He definitely doesnt get excessive. I figured I'd cut almost everyrhing out for 2 reasons. First to try and regulate his eating pattern. He came to us at 5 mos eating 3x a day. I took away his lunch but he seems to like to eat half his breakfast, then finish the other half at lunch and eats everything at dinner. I have put it to the test and no way will he eat all am feeding unless its topped. He has no issues with his pm feeding. I think he likes 3 x a day. I have been thinking maybe just doing 3x a day.
Second because he was becoming a brat and not listening unless there was a treat involved. So away with the treats and in came more praise. He loves it this way. I no longer have treats in all my pockets and our walks are treat free
