We boarded our Cane Corso, Tessa, for a week at the end of October. When we picked her up her paws were swollen and red, especially around her nail beds. I'm sure she spent the entire time trying to escape, and hurt her paws in the process. They healed up in a few days, but we noticed an area on her back paw about two weeks ago that looked like it formed a callous. Yesterday she broke it open running around the yard, and today I soaked it in warm water for a while. She's not bothered by it, no limp, she doesn't lick it, etc. Any ideas what it could be? I'll be calling taking her to the vet Monday, but thought I'd see if anyone has had this happen before. I attached pictures of what it looked like before she broke it all the way open, and after soaking it.
