You should check out the group on facebook named "Boerboel Owners." It is a closed group but if you send the guy a message he will add you.

They maintain a list of recommended breeders with the names of the members who recommended them. They also have a thread of recommendations/warnings/horror stories discussing breeders all over the world. I don't know anything about Cabaret Boerboels other to say they haven't been recommended by anyone on that group. There also are not any horror stories about them on that group either so that's good.

Since you are in NY you may want to look at Dichotomy, Dark Water, or Allen's Virginia Boerboels in Virginia. All of these seem to be good breeders based on their feedback from the facebook group and would be close enough you could drive to check them out if you wanted to. My pup is from Bandera Boerboels in Redmond WA. She is the offspring of Midelpos Morgan (owned by Teri of Bandera Boerboels) and Spitvuur Xilo 2 (owned by Terri Allen of Allen's Virginia Boerboels).

It may help if you talk a little about what you would like out of your dog. Are you planning on working them, showing them, etc?
