Yeah, my first reaction is if Walmart is going to carry it, it cant be very good quality dog food. I googled it & it bothers me I cant find the ingredients anywhere & on the website theres a picture of the back of the bag where the ingredients are BUT its super small & cant be read nor can you enlarge it.

Though from what I did find I would not feed it (if my dogs ate kibble) ... its not grain free, it has veggies and fruits (which a dog doesnt need nor can nutritionally use)

As my household goes, we have a mixed bag, when it comes to food, two on raw, and three on kibble, so I'm always looking for something new to try as far as kibble, my GSD and the DDB are doing ok on, 4Health, but my little antique Cairn, not so good, I would feed her raw, but she rolls in it first(Gross)also rolls in anything canned (super gross)

Found more about what's in it there.

You could certainly do worse when it comes to food, like the grocery store quality brands they compared to but you could also do a LOT better. Like grain free... and from what I've learned in this forum chicken free is also a good bet when it comes to Mastiffs. Can't say I agree with the never feed more than 22% protein or 9% fat either... I'm still looking for the actual ingredients list and guaranteed analysis...

I always see that dog food in supermarkets. :) Is it really good?
There are very few exceptions to the general rule that any foods sold at grocery stores or stores like walmart aren't good enough quality for any dogs, and especially not mastiffs and other giant breeds that need very specific things in their diet. This coupled with the menadione thing would make it not a suitable food.

I just started my EM on this last month - was on Orijen and Fromm - On all three she never had a problem with loose stools. Tried this because she is a very picky eater - actually a vegetarian. No matter what I try she won't eat beef, lamb, chicken, venison, duck, etc., only veggies. I was told by the owner of Gentle Giants that she would like this food because the others spray something on theirs that dogs really don't like the smell of. My Bella does eat this if mixed with broccoli, watermelon, salad or any other veggie/fruit. Here is the dog food adviser link for all foods - Gentle Giants is on it with 3 stars (above average rating.) Gentle Giants Dog Food | Review and Rating
