Fridge suggestions?

We don't have room for a side by side. After Ike we had to replace both fridge and oven. We bought Kenmores and both are a pieces of crap. Any brands you are happy with?

I happen to be really fond of LG appliances. My new washer and drier are LG brand and my Fridge is about 4 years old or so (right before Ike) and its an LG with the freezer in the bottom. I really can't complain about any of them. Cook top and oven are still the same that came with the house, but I want to replace them as well. My parents swear by Samsung, but I don't think they make ovens either??? Not sure. But they have always been very happy with their appliances as well.

Hm, never had to buy appliances, the house came with a reletively new set and we've only been here two years.

What sort of budget are you looking at and what sort of features, if any, do you want? (ice maker, in door water, freezer on top or bottom, that sorta thing)

Storage space! We really don't want ice maker/water. We have an older house, so we would have to run a water line, not worth it to us. Even though we have a nice size freezer, feeding 300 plus pounds of dogs raw plus their 2 fat moms, we need a lot of storage. So far 25cft is the largest we have found but reviews on most all brands are terrible. I always want to be thrifty but I'm willing to go to about 3k. Don't expect to but if that is what it takes I guess I'll have to squeeze it out of my butt somehow. LOL

well, I always read consumer reports before buying anything. When we have bought, we got Whirlpool both times, and they have worked fine. MY stuff is always cold, just as advertised. I will say this, IMO don't get stainless. I don't like the smudges and having to buy a special cleaner. Why pay more for the color? I know everyone loves them, but we hate them. I actually had my kids with me and the poor salesman tried to show the fingerprint resistant ones, hahahahahaha:lolbangtable:I just looked at my 2 girls (ages 2 & 5yrs then) and said try it girls. Within 3 minutes they had managed to fingerprint all of them. So I ordered black. However, my husband didn't listen to me and tried to surprise me with an upgrade and changed it to stainless. Now my fridge is covered in kids prints and the dogs "nose art" smears. I hate stainless. But, it still works, everything is cold and frozen, nice door shelves and easy to move shelves.

"Nose art" That is too funny and too true.

My head is just swimming. Can't decide to go top of the line or just economy. We're 50, my first thought was buy a really good one and we shouldn't have to mess with getting another one but they don't seem to make them like they used too.

Ruth, I really liked the one in your link got all excited checked measurements and it won't fit our space.

Thanks for all the input, still taking suggestions.
