Finally looks like spring is here to stay

It's been a long winter for our area, we've had a couple nice days but it finally looks like the warmth is here to stay. Here's a picture of my 3 kids. 9 yrs, 4 yrs and 6 1/2 months

Good luck with it sticking around!
I'm not ready to make the same claim yet.

I'll say spring is here but unfortunately that doesn't mean good weather. We're bouncing between snow and not needing a jacket, completely normal for southern Alberta spring.

So much for the beautiful weather. Its calling for a freeze tonight so I'm hoping the few things I planted will survive. I'm guessing we are going to go right into some hot weather after this week. Seems like our spring weather gets shorter and shorter every year.

It is still right around 0 here (in Canada) up during the day but still freezing at night. We had a few good days then got some snow. I just want winter to go away so I can turn the heat off!

I understand that. My son is in fort drum, ny and every time I visit it does nothing but snow. This was a hard winter for the,. With the worst being -50 with the wind chill. I can't even imagine.

It definitely isn't fun. After a few months, you start to actually get depressed in it. When you can drive 45 min and your car still isn't that warm because it is so cold out, all you wanna do is go somewhere warm for the winter. Then you realize you can't because you need to work and you don't have the money, then you become even more depressed. I actually cried one day because it snowed and I was so sick of it!

So sorry to hear that, but I imagine I would do the same. Being someone with Raynauds Syndrome, I cannot tolerate extremely cold temps. I certainly hope that you get some warm weather soon. On a good note, three of the four pepper plants survived, although I lost the basil and all but 1 cucumber plant. Good thing I have a bunch more growing inside. Tomorrow I start all over again. Its actually not so bad as long as I can keep my puppy from eating all the dirt I drop. Apparently he finds it quite tasty. LOL
