First off, it is very difficult for a dog to change its color, second YES, the dog in your picture could not pass a temperament test so it would be disqualified and therfore NOT CAFIB, get it? It can however breed beautiful show quality Non CAFIB/CBKC dogs. Remember, with CAFIB papers do not matter, it can come from the Paolo Santos cruz hinself, if it does not pass an eval then it is NOT CAFIB, get it? And yes, Sully is a great dog, lol.

O.K guys, I got some more pics of the 2012 show. We have Shawna with her dog "Vudu" (Valentina do Itanhandu) who was Champion of the expo and "Rio" (Oliero de Itanhandu) temperament winner of expo as well as best male. Sorry guys but I dont have any regular shots. Once folks started stealing pictures from my account people started yanking theirs as well so it wouldnt happen with their dogs as well.

Sammy your best bets to to research the Fila verse following the argument. Lotta muddy water in that creek. The basic diff comes down to the standard they follow. For the most part there are very minor diff between the two. Unfornatly you dont typicly get the straight and narrow from either side. What you end up with is the worst examples of a dog, the worst looking pic, and the worst of what ever's on topic at the time.

Which is why I say find the dogs you like. Then find a breeder that you can trust with that type dog. It should look like a fila that fits a standard regardless of where it comes from. Now round up the breeders with the look you like, learn about their dogs health and temps.

Just because a dog has "intelligent ojeriza" and trust the owner and therefore allows the judge to touch him does not mean he would not pass a temp test when presented with a threat. The photo was to show you it goes both ways, and if you are still in denial I can pm you a link showing it is indeed that dog.

Ace, it cannot pass a CAFIB temperament test. You dont know what a CAFIB temperament test is so I will explain. There is a portion of the test where the "friendly" stranger shows up, the goal of this stranger is to "pet" the dog. If the dog allows itself to be pet then consider it disqualified. SOOO, training your fila b4 the TT can and has resulted in a disqualification. The point of the tt is to test the dog's NATURAL response not to test how good of a trainer you are. fter that initial test then by all means train your dog to be a shutzhund dog or a nurses aid for all I care.

Chuck, not true. I posted up the pictures that the owners of CBKC champions thought showed their dog best. YOU think they are the worst but they have been voted as the BEST of CBKC. Ace on the other hand has posted pics of puppies and dogs that have actually nothing to do with CAFIB and now a pic of a good dog in a bad pic. Now you know the truth, but I guarantee you will continue to spread that lie next time. what is your agenda?

Are you asking me or ace about an agenda? I dont have an agenda. But if a guy's looking to learn about fila's following all the garbage that gets slung i the wrong way to do it.

I dont care about a ckbc champ any more than the ckbc. If it dont fit a standard then it's a crap dog or at a min a bad fila. I dont give a damn if it has 45 metals and a purple heart.

Dogman are you aying that a ckbc dog that fits the standard, proper health, and proper temp aint good? Are you saying a cafib that fails them aint bad? If your not saying this, then were saying the same thing.

you said that I BOTH sides are putting up pictures of the worst dogs when in fact i am putting up pics of what CBKC declares to be the best. SO it is not both sides putting up the worst pictures it is only one side. Now, i agree that what CBKC calls champions are worthless animals and def. not working type at all but there are only 2 standards and the people who follow the CBKC standard believe that the dogs I posted are the best and i posted the pictures that the breeders themselves consider to be the best of their dog. Given that information do you still think we are at a level playing field? Like i told Ace, quit trying to discredit the information that I posted and just give credible information of your side (this is directed at Ace).

Now this post was about the importance of type in relation to work it had nothing to do w/ CAFIB vs non CAFIB so why did it get turned into this?

I know you hate people Duetsche_Doggen, but just for one night . We all love dogs 10x more than the average owner or we wouldn't be here. But lets face it these are Filas, not your normal dog. And we are Fila owners, not your normal dog owner.

LOL, correctly stated. I have gone to a "working weekend" before and myself and other CAFIB standard followers as well as CBKC standard followers were in attendance and we all had a great time. I dont want people to think that these conversations/arguments and even the sarcastic remarks that Ace and I actually go to heart, we have been at this for a while and it isnt personal. Just think of this like friends with political differences, we disagree but doesnt mean we cant have a brew and relax with the same people.
