Hi Guys,
Its been a while since I last posted about my pup . He is 13 months right now and has been fed raw all his life. He is very energetic and loves to play, very reserved(lol i dont think reserved is the correct word) with strangers and extremely tolerant of family. You can do anything to this dog and get away with it. My experience with the fila brasileiro has been very positive and i will always own this breed. BUYER BEWARE:- This breed is not a joke they are very intense in most cases there is no middle ground they love fiercely and protect fiercely.
Here are some pictures of him:-

I like that boy,

I've worked with some sharkaun offspring all of them had good temp, some needed to be turned on civilly but once it was brought out it never went back in lol.

Looks like you feed him raw? That's awesome, I have littermates to a few friends dogs, they feed totw,Kirkland, one guy does canidade... The difference in our dogs is not drastic but very apparent.

Your boys are beautiful! I'm so glad I watched and read your message. We have an intact great pyreneese Riley who is 3 yrs and an 8 year old spade rotti, Suzy who is the boss! I was worried about whether or not to neuter our lovely new boy Cooper (7 mths now). We live in a pretty remote area except when cottagers show up in the summer. So far the boys are best buddies and play all the time. Riley is bent on teaching him everything he knows an is extremely patient no matter what Cooper does. My concern is : will this behaviour continue or will Cooper start to get too aggressive, and we only have a 4 ft fence - will Cooper want to roam? The fencing is about 1 acre and totally circles the house with doggie door, and garage so they have so much freedom and our other 2 have never considered jumping even though they bark like mad when they see someone near the property. So far Cooper has been ok with visitors (although very cautious initially) but I'm terrified at the thought that if we don't neuter him he might have some aggression issues when the summer folks show up. We learned very quickly that he does not like other dogs either! Any feedback is appreciated as this is our first Fila. Tks!

Neutering has very little to do with temperament. If your Fila has proper temp. he should not like strangers period. Neutered or not! I would never leave a Fila alone in a situation where people could come into his territory. A 4 ft fence will not keep in a Fila if he perceives a threat. One of my Fila's will dive through the front window if he sees someone on his porch.

Fila's don't like strangers period, neutering him will have no affect on that. And as you were told before, no, a 4ft fence will not stop him.

Yes I feed him raw, it's the best thing you can do for your dog and it shows is their development. The benefits are numerous with no downside at all. Trigger is a good boy and a complete package, very excited to see how he turns out from here.

I Advize you to not neuter your fila it can have the opposite effect meaning an increase in aggression since the fila would smell different to the pyrenease without his testicles. Bot filas are pack animals and thrive in a pack oriented environment, they crave interaction and are extremely tolerant of pack members; that's why they make excellent baby sitters lol. Both of them bing aggressive towards each other is highly unlikely as pyrenease are lgd's. I recommend not neutering him and keeping him intact. There as a lot of false marketing and hype when it comes to neutering.
You should definitely get a fence atleast 6foot tall eventhough filas don't roam they will easily jump over a 4 foot fence to neutralize a perceived threat. For the safety of your dog and others please get a fence that's atleast 6ft.
