Few pics of Kona and me playing on the couch. It's funny cause you say "Enough" and she goes right to kisses. hahaha. Never had a dog I could'nt play with402547_381127308568901_100000149050409_1582910_360776254_n.jpg405801_381127555235543_505760407_n.jpg407222_381126921902273_100000149050409_1582896_1352685005_n.jpg407481_381126945235604_100000149050409_1582897_36764477_n.jpg407500_381127695235529_100000149050409_1582922_1442885534_n.jpg

Yea my wife say's I'm Kona's favorite chew toy. We deff have a blast playing. And I know some would worry that they may play that way with everyone but it's not the case. Budda was the same way. Wont dare play with mom or Mason any way even remotly close to that. Kona is so funny. She thinks she's 2 quarter's slick but I got her nickle change. She waits to ambush me. What she dont know is that Fila head drop gives her away everytime. Almost like a cat, her head drops level with her body right before she pounces.

I'm jut happy them puppy teeth and claws are gone. Them things are dangerous

Yes, very nice. There are some that say you shouldn't play rough with your dog like that. I think if you have control of the situation have fun. I don't play that way with my two, only because I am getting older and either of my two can dominate me in that kind of play. I just prefer that they not know how superior their strength is. Although, once a fila has bonded I don't think they would ever use their strength in a way to hurt you. I have to put some nasty medicine on Cane. I know it hurts a lot. He growls but his head is bowed and he is not looking at me. If it was me I would bite the crap out of who ever was hurting me. Not Cane, he is such a good boy.

Well to be honest I was'nt sure what responce I might get with those pics. I'm glad it's been positive. I know alot of dogs that their owners could not play like this. In my opinion thats because they treat the animal as their animal not their buddy so to speak. I'm also of the opinion that if you dont trust your house dog they likely should'nt be a house dog. I may not trust her with anyone else out of the family, but my dogs will never have a need to hurt me and are not raised to be agressive. So I have zero fear of Kona and she has none of me. If she's done she starts licking me and if I'm done I say enough. She's young so this may lend it's self to her playing more than she should at times. But again, if your pup knows when to stop when told, you stop her before it starts.

I figure you got 3 types of pet owners. 1) Is the folks who dont care about the dog only that the dog does what it should. Be it attack, fight, or just run the yard and bark. 2) Folks who just want a pet. They assume it will listen, lay, and require food and water. 3) Are those that adopt a family member. They have at least a decent idea of what their getting, the personality traits, and the sacrafices of what ever breed they get or think they are getting. And those of us with pound pups and mutts, they know how wide a range them sacrafices may be.

Well we fall in the 3rd. Just as my son knows daddy aint gonna hurt him, so do my dogs. Trust is the key in most any relationship. Again, if you dont trust your house pet, they probly should'nt be a house pet. And as the parent, you draw the line at which the dont cross. Sorry for being long winded

Im with angelbears. If you can get your dog to stop on a dime playing like that then go for it. I can with my dogs, wish I could do it with my daughters' pibble that im babysitting right now. He's 22 months and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. but he sure plays rough. trying to think of ways to occupy his mind....

Kona dont care what we do, long as it's rough. Throw the ball gotta work to get it out of her mouth, pull the rope she'll like to break your wrist shaking. Even playing by her self, she's just a brute. But thats just one reason I love mastiff's. She's a tomboy or as I call her "The Man"women. Wish Duke was a few years younger so he could keep up.

Of coarse rough play aint everyones cup of tea. But I do feel you and your dog both should be confident enough in each other to do so if you choose. And if you dont trust your own Faithful Fila, well theres an issue larger than the dog at play

Beautiful Pictures. When we used to take our Yorkie and Cane Corso out in public, little kids would come up and want to all pet the 5 pound Yorkie. We had to say no, pet the 135 Pound Corso instead. He was a gentle giant. All of the med wanted to pet the Corso......Can't wait until we get another.

great pics!!! I have rough housed with all of my dogs. My Flower sees me and tests the waters,if Iam willing to play it is game on. SHe also will stop in a second. adn than goodness she only plays this way with me. Being that I was in chemo for over a yr. and still get regular check ups every 6 wks, sometimes with a new nurse I have to explain the big ole teeth marks and/or bruises to her. They are all from play and never aggression, just thought I would put that out there! Filas are the best!!

HAHAHAHAHA. I know your bite marks well. Kona loves to try me when she's feeling frogy. I've actualy begun running/walking with her everyday to calm her down. She could use the work out anyways.

Glad your off your chemo and everything is going well for you
