female EM owners...help!!!!

ok ...here we go....we are the proud owners of Gracie the most amazing animal we have ever owned.......she has became a huge part of our family...Gracie is 10 months and 1 week old...she is 29 inches tall and weighed 125 at the vet today....(heart worm test and some boosters)...i asked my vet about getting her spayed...we have no desire to breed her as we know we would NEVER have the time to give 100% to Gracie and her pups...my vet said we could do it any time as she is over 5 months old...i have heard so many different things about what age to get her spayed.......i am asking any female EM onwers as to what your advice is.......she was given to me by a dear friend that didnt have the time to give her so i do not have any information on her background from a breeder...we just want to do the best thing for gracie...we know that the longer we wait the more she will weigh and the more it will cost and THAT HAS NO BEARING ON THIS.....looking forward to some responses....thanks in advance...randy...and gracie

with any dog if you do not plan to breed get them spayed/nuetered. A dog will live longer and healthier when you do so. Less chance for cancers, infections, issues.
