I “like” a rescue page on Facebook “Must Love Corso’s Rescue”. They have “Corso cabbies” program that helps transport Corso’s to their forever homes. You can sign up to volunteer to help transport the dogs on legs of the trip. Well I just signed up for my first one! I asked my boyfriend if he wanted to come with, but he is afraid of dogs, and he really didn’t want me to do it by myself. So we came to a compromise: I’ll be taking my sister. I’m super excited! I get to volunteer for a good cause and get a mini road trip with my best friend, my sister!

Uh oh “nice intro”? Haha is this how you got started? Does that mean this is just the beginning for me? I do have a bit of an obsessive personality... maybe I’m getting into something I won’t be able to get out of! Our house is too small for fostering! Lol Matt will kill me because I will want to bring home every doggy I meet, I get attached and heartbroken VERY easily. Oh boy.

I think you're going to enjoy it. Do be prepared that you'll probably come across some that are in bad shape if you do it for any length of time. Just remember that without people like you, they wouldn't be able to get to a safe place.

I honestly don’t think I could go beyond transports. I really do get attached too quickly, I don’t think I could foster. I highly admire and appreciate people who do. We will see how this goes, but I have a feeling I have found the perfect way for me to help. I’m seriously crazy excited. I can’t wait to meet other Corsos! Hopefully I don’t get attached in the 90 minutes I know him lol.

Today was my first trip. If I didn’t already love this breed, this boy would have made me fall in love! This is Enzo and he was THE SWEETEST boy ever!! So gentle and laid back. I had to keep myself from falling in love! He was such a gentleman. I seriously kept forgetting he was in the back seat. He was so quiet, he slept most of the time and had such a peaceful gentle snore. Ooh, the more I write about him the harder it is not to call and ask to adopt him lol.

He is adorable Jarena! And he looks like he's a sweetheart. I bet you wanted to turn n the car around and bring him home....How do u think Lettie would react to him?....

What a beautiful boy! I'm glad it went smoothly. I hope you'll be able to watch his progress through the system and make it to his final home. So when's the next run? Lots of dogs of all breeds need transport, if that's something you'd enjoy doing.

That’s great! Jarena that’s awesome you get to have this opportunity! And the fur baby you’ll be transferring is lucky to have you and your sister!

I really don’t know how Lettie would react. I took her to the dog park until she was 7 months old. She did well with dogs that weren’t super submissive. If a dog told her to “back off” once, she would. But she hasn’t played with any dogs since then. She sounds ferocious when she sees another dog, but she always has, then she gets closer and the “badass” wears off a little.

They have another run waiting to be filled right now, but it’s just too far away from me. I will definitely be signing up for the next one closer to me though!
