Entertaining 9 week old puppy

My 9 week EM puppy seems to be bored in the house. I can't take her for walks yet because she only has her first set of puppy shots. She has tons of toys and rotates playing with them throughout the day, but there are times that she seems bored and begins to whine. I am training her in the house to walk with the leash with treats, but our house is only so big. I read that entertaining the mind is more of a workout, so does anyone have suggestions?

Now is a great time to start working basic obedience. Recall, sit, touch her collar and break. Sit down sit. Stand down stand. Once you get the basics work a little on duration. Recall, sit, down, stay. Even at this age you can work on touch and place. Doesn't take a lot of room for these. In fact to much room could even hinder her learning. I've been really enjoying Dr. Ian Dunbar's way of teaching pups look him up on youtube.

Agree with EverythingEnglishMastiff- you'd be surprised how quickly they get tired after 15-20min of basic training a couple of times in a day. We have a small house and on really cold winter days we do obedience, hide and seek, and circus tricks (he knows a few). This usually tires him out for the day.
