Hello a long time ago i owned an em and he was the best dog i ever had. I was just curious if was just him or are they all like him. He listened well, he was always at my side and i didn't even have to leash him most of the time. He was a calm gentle puppy, was not very destructive unless I was not home even as a pup and he was protective but not aggressive he was perfect. is your em like this too?? also does any know of a good breeder?? Thanks

I have 2 EMs now, one female who is 22 months old now, and another male who is just 11 weeks old, a new addition to our family. The reason I got the 2nd one is because I like the first one so much. She got me wrapped around her big paw. Yes, she is sweet, gentle, not too destructive unless I left her alone free reign in the house while I'm gone, then I would come home to chewed sandals or TV remote. If I put her in the kitchen and close the kitchen, then she'd just sleep. She is lazy and can be stubborn but you can entice her with treats. She loves to play tug-of-war, which is another reason I got her a playmate. She doesn't like it I always let her win and don't fight back. Now she is playing tug-of-war with the new puppy who is not letting her win. She'll drag him. LOL She snores and drools. Very typical EM. As for aggression, she barks at passerbys and scares them but I know she won't actually bite anyone. Once introduced to a new person, she's fine with them and leave them alone. She is loving and loyal. I think she's timid and gets scared easily by loud noises. She hates 4th of July especially gunshot and fireworks sounds. She does not jump on people. She's too lazy for that. She is also very slow in her movements. The new puppy seems to be the opposite. He is energetic and lightening fast. He seems to not be scared of anything. Currently he has not learned to bark. He whines a lot to let me know he wants something. My female did not whine and was a very easy puppy to potty-train. She was a natural. The male puppy is going to be much harder. He already has 3 accidents. Yes, he's a whiner as he is doing so now, so I will go check on him.
