Ear Taping?

Hello to all,

I read a lot on the internet about taping the bullmastiff ears when they are about 3months or 4months.
My puppy somethimes seems like he has a perfect ears shape but other times seems like he hasn´t.
What is your opinion? tape for percaution or do not tape at all?

I think his ears look good. I think you only need to tape if the crease in the ear is starting to form in the wrong place.

I have this YouTube video saved in my favorites if the need arises for me to have to tape my pup's ears.

i think the ears of my puppy are a little "open" in the backview of his head if you understand me

If that crease is permanent in the right ear, I would consider taping it, if you're going to show him. If he's not going in the conformation ring, I don't think I would bother.

Thank you all for this great info. Im gonna tape my dogs ears but i want to know if it is ok to tape ears at 4months or 5months and for how long we must tape him?

Ours was 3-4 months when we started taping his. We would tape them a couple times a day, generally mornings and night. When he was less active. Still didn't stop him from pawing at the tape on his left ear at night, lol.

He consistently got that tape on his left ear out, so now it folds back. Doesn't seem to bother him though.
