History of the Dogue De Bordeaux
Good read. Although, it seems like there's been a lot of guessing about the Dogue's history, nothing is really solid fact until they hit the late 1800's. Another article I read also claimed the breed took a dive after Hitler's reign because he commanded all Dogue's be killed with their masters because they showed such tremendous loyalty to their owners. Every article mentions the bitch Magenta, and of course Turner and Hooch, lol. I wonder how popular the Dogue would be if not for Hooch...
