We have 4 dogs, 3 crates, 3 overstuffed leather chairs, and one very large leather sofa, all for them. If you sit on the furniture in that room, you're fair game. You will get a large dog in your lap. As for the beds, they have to be invited.

I had to think about this a bit. I have invited the dogs onto the couch but they generally don't seem too interested unless I am there already.
I believe I prefer to invite them up if it came to that.

My girl is very polite and asks every time if she is allowed to come up :D

Couch? pfft... you name it they'll lay on it. I have hard floors so I figure it's better for them anyways. You should see 2 dogs playing on a waterbed! :) Of course I have no pictures of that cuz I'm always in it when it happens.

Bed...

Sofa...

2 on the Sofa...

Recliner, or at least trying too...

Sofa & couch...

Sometimes even the floor of all places!

We've caught him on the couches a couple of times. He even tries to climb into my chair. I can see this is going to take some work. He knows he isn't allowed but is doing it anyways. He's a total sneaky little boy. All normal for a four month old puppy I suppose. He's just so dang lovable.

This seems like our first big battle. He knows he's not supposed to be up there. We find him up on them every chance he gets now. I'm thinking a squirt from a water bottle might help. But he loves to play with the hose. He might jus think its a game. Does any one have any ideas?

I try to use a squirt bottle with water but my 4 1/2 month old Old English Mastiff loves the water and enjoys the squirts....... He is so spoiled! We just adore him!

this poll is incomplete. there needs to be:

sometimes
by invite only
you mean I have a choice?

Kujo is very good about not getting on the couches, but I do invite him up sometimes for a cuddle...but it's an invite only situation. Unless we're not home, of course. Then he's on the couches, or the bed if we leave the bedroom door open.

But when we're home he's very polite about asking.... which generally leads to this...

Mine get on the couches whenever they please. Sometimes I wish it wasn't like this but I love them to death. They are NOT allowed in or on our bed though. No doggy fur there!!

Our APBT has a big red ball that she just adores. Well, she was rolling it around in the mud and then proceeded to sneak it back inside with her behind my back and rolled it around on my brand new mattress while the linens were all being washed. >_< Suffice to say, I was one angry momma that day.

They NEVER sit next to one another unless there's something out the window. Sophie, my lab, has gotten squished by Loki rolling over so she won't lay next to him any more. They even have to sleep on opposite sides of the bed with me in the middle.
