I see a lot of pictures with dogs on couches. This isn't acceptable to me. I'm wondering how others feel about this.

My dogs are allowed on the couch, but only if they are going to be calm. They are not allowed to wrestle, play or otherwise be obnoxious on the couch, although they always try. I can't help it, I love snuggling on the couch with my pups.

Our pup is only allowed up if we invite him and must get down when told.

Only when invited...no laying on it by himself. The reason is we don't allow him in the bed and my wife needs snuggle time with him...ok, I need it too. He mostly prefers his bed though...and an ottoman he lays on like this. IMG_4897.jpg

My pups are allowed on the couch, we don't have a problem with it at all.....I must admit when we first got them my thoughts were different but it just sort of happened and now they please themselves to some extent, its all good we love cuddles and we have a huge lounge with 4 sofas so yup guilty!

Nope Angus isn't allowed on the couch at all but I usually just end up sitting on the floor with him cause he likes to be touching me :) the big softie

Mine are allowed up (I like them cuddling) but if they give any attitude towards anyone including each other they hit the floor. Same goes for the bed.

Mine are not allowed on the couch. That doesn't mean they don't get on the couch. Max at 16 weeks has already watched the lab sneak on and off the couch when I'm not looking. I think Bo taught Max to be the look out! I can see foot marks on the cushions and pillows knocked on the floor...and it's warm so I know they've been up.
Dog hair is the biggest issue that I have. It looks bad when you go in to work with dog hair on your suit! Dog hair comes off easier than slobber though...My vote is no. But that's my personal opinion.

Mine are allowed, but only when invited, if I need them to move they do so, and only if they're lying STILL. Same for the bed, I have five so there's usually some mix of dogs with me in any given place.

Yes, mine are allowed on all of the furniture...all of the time. Like AB.......Sometimes they let me on the furniture, too....If I can act right. :)

Yup, dogs are allowed on the couches, and the coffee table, and the end tables, and......

They have to move if I ask them too, otherwise they're allowed. Personally I get more dog hair on me from them leaning into me for a scratch than I pick up off the couch.

Oh and if you live in the USA I am going to recommend homereserve.com

Before

After

Great thing with this company is 10 year warranty (already used it once) and you can get replacement cushions, arms etc (piece by piece).
