I am so sorry!

Menace won't eat ice cubes out of his water dish, but will eat them if we put them on the floor. Maybe something to try.

Poor Rogue!!

Only thing I can think of, is to make sure you don't worry to much... or she'll think there's still something to worry about, and get anxious that you're worried that she's worried... that... well... you get the point.

I'd put on my nurses cap and treat the patient as much as possible... and keep the worry/snuggles to a few short bursts during the day ('cause I know they don't go away).

There's also that "getting back on the horse" to contemplate. The less of a deal you make of it, the better Rogue will recover and not think anything of it, too.

Sending healing thoughts your way!! Feel better soon!!

When Debra boils chickens, she will skim the top of the pot for all the congealed goodies and put it in ice trays and gives them out as treats. They love them.

Big hugs and healing thoughts to you and Rogue!

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and advice, glad to say Rogue seems brighter this evening. I gave her the tuna ice cubes and she loves them, she still wont go near her plain water but is drinking the tuna water and chicken broth, her favourite is the tuna in the water, I even got a wag of her tail tonight when she could smell it! Im trying not to give her crying too much attention as ive noticed she stops when we leave the room and starts again the minute we go back in!

Awwww--I'm sorry your baby got bitten.
Aside from his reality being shaken quite a bit, the antibiotics & pain meds really really skrew them up food/water wise.
Certain pain meds actually make dogs whine--
With my last girl, I cut her pain meds back a tiny bit & it actually helped, the whining/crying was heart wrenching & she seemed more comfortable on less meds.
