Dog Attack

It's a shame really.

My antena always goes up with any breeder, rescue, etc. that won't allow anyone into their home or facility.

Hopefully they will clean up their act, or get shut down with the animals moved to better rescues.

This is so sad, both for the child and the dog :(. I have been researching the large breed rescues here in the UK, and have not found even one that would allow a larger breed dog or one that they had no knowledge of it's past to be adopted by someone who had a toddler in the house. It is just common sense, isn't it? We knew we wanted a Mastiff, but had a 5 yr old, so went to a breeder instead of rescue to get a puppy so we would know how he was around children. I can't imagine putting a baby on the floor with a dog, ANY dog that I did not know and trust. So sad.

Very sad indeed.

Having grown up with a large dog, I know how wonderful it can be for a child (learned how to walk hanging on to him :)).

Sadly for this little boy, he may have a fear of dogs for the rest of his life :(.
