Dog Aggression in Household

It's a 40# 2.5-year-old APBT vs 20# 9-year-old beagle mix, is the thing.

I think I would be much less freaked out if this were the BM mix and APBT (not that that would be a good situation either).

TGD got back to me. They seem pretty confident. We'll have a phone consultation this week.

We rescued a 1yr old Bulldog/Boxer mix and didn't see any sign of aggression for about a week with our 5yr old uber-submissive Dane/Lab mix. I do believe his (bulldog) DA was either genetic or chemical - he had some strange shakes that indicated a neurological issue, too. We worked with him for 3 years and removed 97% of the problems, but that last 3% was causing stress and unhappiness for our older dog (and us humans, too).

We rehomed him as an only-dog, and EVERYONE was happier.

I hope you can find a peaceful solution being able to keep the APBT, but I'm also glad you put some limits on what you're willing to cope with... in my opinion "coping" is not living, and sometimes you have to let go of the ones you love so they can be happy, too. Good luck!! Sounds like you have the best support available.
