Corn, tears and running out of time

Oh Colorado, I am beyond happy to hear this. You are such a stellar fur-parent, and while I am so sad that your pup is no longer around you, your news was really great to hear. The fact that you are more concerned with Paxi's welfare, then your own loss, says a lot about you.

My lab had to have two surgeries for ingesting foreign objects, and in both instances (like yours) there was nothing we could have done to prevent it. Pups will find things that we don't even see. I hope you don't take anything to heart that was said negatively?

Take care Colorado, your love towards your pup, really touched me.

So happy to hear the news-- now you will have some peace of mind that your boy is ok, and will be in good hands.

And at the end of the day, peace of mind is priceless, really.

*By the way, I will admit to tossing the occasional corn cob to my Black Lab (this was 12-15 years ago)---I didn't have any idea that they could be harmful in any way! Man, he loved them, and apparently chomped them down enough to pass through his system. But, I must have been incredibly lucky- YIKES.

Wow. What a story!

And what a nasty, cruel thing for the vet to do to someone in obvious distress.
I still think you have a case for getting Pax back, but if you know where he went and the breeder is convinced it's a good home for him... at least you have that knowledge to help you get through this. Re-homing is not easy under the best circumstances...which this obviously is not.

I hope your son is also dealing with all the changes ok.

MY God that to me is cruel!

If I decided to spend $10 grand to help a dog survive, why in the heck would I take the dog?

This confuses me, out of good nature you help out someone in need and save a life but then take the dog? What kind of person does that?

I'm so happy your Pax got help and understand the choice you made but at the same time I'm so pissed about the stipulation that I can't see straight!!

seriously is this pure cruelness at it's finest, maybe EVIL?
