Cherry eye

I almost got both removed when Greta got the left one done but my vet convinced me otherwise and well....whoops haha. Moving forward i won't make that mistake again. I have talked to very few owners that have had tacking last and never needed the removal. Seems like just an expensive band-aid.

Lame news, Greta managed to get kennel cough this week so it looks like i'm going to have to postpone the surgery until the end of the week and let her get over it. She's already probly 3/4 of the way to beating it but i'll probly play it safe. Gonna call the vet in the morning and get their opinion but i hear its not something you wanna risk.

Great news! Greta had her surgery today and everything went wonderfully :)

She's at home now sleeping it off, was pretty out of it when i picked her up....all wobbly and confused, didn't even seem to recognize me at first. She moped around the house for about an hour and finally fell asleep, glad she did, needs the rest.

I'll post pics in a bit once she's woken up and everything.

Aw just as adorable as ever glad to hear she took to the surgery fine..

Tapd on my skyrocket

Its like nothing ever happened, i'm so happy with the results. This one seems to be healing even faster than the first even. I can barely tell it even happened. :)

She is beautiful, I am so thankful for this site, helped me make the decision to remove the cherry eye and not to be afraid to present your vet with breed typical findings!!

Our CC had her cherry eyes tacked twice & the 3rd go round completely removed....

When she had her cherry eye removed, was it super swollen and cloudy looking a couple days after? My neo had hers removed recently and now its cloudy and super swollen.. I'm nervous about why!
