Changing stool - confusing time!

So Boone (our almost 3 month old BM) has loosies again :(. BUT, they aren't loosies all the time! He generally goes potty about 6 or 7 times a day currently (1 around 7.30 before food, then at about 9, 11.30, 3.30, 7ish, 9ish and 12ish). The first one is pasty (not well formed, but not loose either). The vet told us this is normal. The second is loose and light green in color. :sad0071: The third one is loose, but not as loose as the earlier one, and from here it gets better till the last one at night, which is loose and watery again :sad0049:

When his loosies started, I gave him yogurt and boiled rice to calm his stomach down. His stool started firming up (after a day) so I started mixing some of his kibble (about 30% of the food) back in. He is now up to half and half. I mixed a tablespoon of pureed pumpkin with his food in the morning today, he hasn't pooped after that as yet.

I can't for the life of me figure out what is causing this! :hairpull: He's not getting any extra treats (except some carrot and green beans during training). He's getting an immunity booster medicine and multivitamins. There are no probiotic powders available here :( (I'm in India). Boiled chicken gives him diarrhea, though the stock from the boiled chicken works well for him. I haven't tried any other meats.

His kibble currently is Royal Canin Maxi Junior (the best from all the ones available - yes I know how crappy it is, but I have no choice :groaner:). He was earlier on the Royal Canin Maxi Starter, mixed with RC Recovery veterinary intestinal diet, which worked well for him. On the pack it says "up to two months", but since it worked for him earlier, should I move him back? He's had no issues with the Maxi Junior till now (he's been on it for about three weeks now). I've ordered for TOTW Sierra Mountain online, however, since it is international shipping, it will take at least 15 days to get here:ebay:. Solid Gold has just been made available here (though in another state), and I can order it, however, I need feedback about the kibble itself.

Apologies for the long post, but I desperately need help!!!

It's probably the food. My three month old shepherd puppy only poops twice a day. Your pup goes a lot! I prefer TOTW over Solid Gold though both are unfortunately made by Diamond.

Which formula of Solid Gold can you get?

6 or 7 times a day is ALOT.....

can you get live culture yogurt?

I know he poops a lot :(! But there's nothing I can do right now except wait for either TOTW to arrive (which will take another week or so) or order solid gold (which will take about 5 days maybe).
I've looked for live culture yogurt, but it is not available in the city I'm in. I've asked my sis to check for some where she stays (bigger city, more choices).

In Solid Gold, there's Holistique Blendz Adult Dog (Fish) or Sundancer Grain and Gluten free adult dog food available. I can get TOTW Wetlands Canine or Pacific Stream as well, but I'm very wary of the calcium and phosphorus content in those.

I can order Acana Pacifica from ebay, but that will take at least 20 days to be delivered.

What do I do? And while I'm waiting for any of these foods to arrive (according to what you tell me), what do I feed him?

If you're going to switch over to the TOTW I wouldn't switch foods again while you wait. That's just gonna mess up his digestive system even more.

So I'll wait for TOTW to get here then. Meanwhile, what do you recommend I give him?

Can you get pure canned pumpkin? Or slippery elm?

I can go out and look for both. I can make pureed pumpkin at home as well. Where do you think I can find slippery elm - a regular supermarket or a medical store?

Maybe a pharmacy or like a natural remedies type store.

I'll go out and look around, though I'm not hopeful from the calls I've made so far - none of them seem to know what it is!
What about the pumpkin? If I can't find a canned version, is home made puree okay?

Homemade should be fine. You just don't want the canned used for baking.

I made a batch in the morning today - how much should I give him?

Okay so my ebay order for TOTW Sierra Mountain has been cancelled for some reason.

My choices now - order Solid Gold Holistique Blendz Adult Dog (Fish) which I can get within a couple of days or Solid Gold Sundancer Grain and Gluten free adult dog food, TOTW Wetlands Canine or Pacific Stream which will take a week to arrive.

I can also order Acana Pacifica which will take about 20 days.

Slippery elm is not available anywhere here.

For the pumpkin puree, should I keep the pumpkin raw or bake it (like for human consumption) before pureeing it?

I'm in near tears now :(, I can't see him like this!

Raw pumpkin should be fine. I would need the calcium for the solid gold to really give an opinion. I may have an email with it in it but I'd have to look.

    Holistique Blendz:
    Ca – 1%
    P – 0.8%

I've asked for the Sundancer breakdown.

---------- Post added at 01:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:43 PM ----------

Okay, calcium for Sundancer is 1.46%.

That's tricky. The calcium is better in the sun dancer but it has grains and chicken which may cause an issue while the holistique is vegetarian like and the protein source isn't at the top of the ingredients.

The current ingredient list on the site doesn't list grains for Sundancer :( Chicken yes, but it also lists whitefish meal, so I thought I'd check with you (oh food guru!! :D)
What do you recommend I do?
I thought the Sundancer looks much better than the holistique for a growing puppy... But I don't know much, which is why I'm checking :)
