Thanks y'all. I just love him so much!
He walks that fence line every morning. And he watches everything!...

We are actually moving June 1st. Been looking for a while now, and found the perfect place for us. Even has a dog kennel with a covered roof and dog house. Also a fence that separates the patio from the rest of the yard. You can't see the whole yard in this picture, but it's much larger with fruit trees, and a chicken run, and veg. garden. So now we can get some chickens. :) also their is a gate in the back that leads to a large lake. We are very excited. I hope Logan adjusts well to moving. I'm sure as long as he's with us he will be OK. I think he will like the new place a lot more. It has a lot more to offer. I know we will. :)

You can't see it well, but the kennel is to the right and there is access to it from the patio, and also the wood fence has an additional fence beyond it that is gated. So it's a long dog run to go along with the kennel.

This is the blog for breeder/ trainer Katerina Rekowski. She is in Michigan. She has a lot of good info on CAO. That's where I found the article about CAO body movements, with the guy on the YouTube video who got pulled to the ground by the dog with the deformed looking rear end... I couldn't remember where I had read about it, but I stumbled upon her blog again, and wanted to share a link to her blog for anyone who may be interested in learning more about the breed. She has strong, beautiful CAO with wonderful temperaments. I enjoy reading her info. And looking at her magnificent dogs.

Logan is 11 weeks old. He weighs 34 lbs.
Doing great with training.
Everyone thought I was crazy taking him outside every 45 min. (when he wasn't sleeping) to go potty. But, it definitely paid off. I can officially say he is house trained. He is holding his bladder till taken out. :)
He is growing fast, and learning his way in our family. He allows me to clip his claws. Loves a good brushing, but bath time is a whole other story! I've only bathed him twice. When he first got home, and then a week ago he rolled into some poison Ivy. My 9 year old is very allergic. So I attempted to bathe him. He bucked like a wild Mustang and cried like I was drowning him in acid!
Let me tell you, it was a fight! I of course had my way, but I would rather not have him hate it so much. Oh, and the 9 year old has poison Ivy on her face :( I guess I didn't bathe him well enough, or ah contacted it another way. IMAG0845~2.jpg IMAG0848~2.jpg

I've been observing his chewing habits with the bones I give him to chew on for teething. And he does well with them. He chews and doesn't inhale. So I watched him with the chicken leg,and he did the same. He chewed on it for a while, and I was satisfied with how he crushed up the bones.

Woah! I give you credit for that, I would be so nervous giving Zeela anything raw. I just never had any experience with a raw diet. Hope all goes well for you & Logan! ;)

I was nervous about it too, so that's why I'm going to start slow and see how it goes. That was mostly like a treat. I did cut back on his kibble yesterday to incorporate the piece of chicken. I wanted to see how he would do with it. And he did very well. He's already passed it and everything looked good. His poop actually looked better, if that makes any sense. Didn't smell as horrid either. And that's just from one piece of chicken. I will continue to give him kibble, and slowly transition him to raw. And until he reaches 1 year I will do kibble in am and raw in pm. I have read and reread a lot of info on raw, so I feel pretty confident about it. This forum has been a great source for info on feeding raw.
