Well old camera died so looking at getting something decent, was looking at a Cannon EOS Mark 7DII but buddy who actually is a professional told me it was a bit of a waste for what I was doing and lent me his EOS Rebel T6 which he uses for family stuff, it's also about 1000 to 1100 less than what I was looking at.

After a youtube vid and a couple hours of reading still a bit lost on the finer setting, but figured I'd post a few from today.

My hub has a T3 and I have a D5 (which I never use...bad mommy), but these are great pics! I suggest you follow your family friend that is a professional....save a buck and keep giving us great pics!

Yes the Mark 7 is pretty much off the list as it has a ton more to it than this one does and I have not even figured out the best setting for this one.

When he takes a picture with it and I take the same one, there is a huge difference, told me 6 or 8 months of trying different setting would make a huge difference.

Onlt thing he said I may wish to change is a T6i instead of the T6 for higher res.

Yeah, the "i" is great. Hub drives me crazy about cameras (which he never uses...he leaves in the cupboard) (we're a fine pair of bookends.) I presently think there is an Alpha gathering dust up there...who knows. Don't fret about it...choose! Trust me there is a spouse out there begging you to choose. And, if I may, speaking from experience, take it out with you and use it every day for 3 months, then...you'll be proficient.

Look, at least we have digital...those earlier pioneers (see: my husband) had to slog through tons of chemicals in dark little rooms developing film into the wee small hours. We point and shoot....I prefer the now to the then.

I remember talking to a salesman at Henry's and saying how I wanted the best resolution available...and he pointed out that anything above an 8 MP is just grand-standing....especially for the work that I was doing a that time. I needed a good picture, I didn't need one that I could blow up into a wall sized poster.

My 5D is a great camera...used correctly, it's dynamic. I just kept falling asleep reading the manual. ZZzzzz.

Great pics.....I can tell that the doggies have a lot of fun together. My mastiff watches and follows the example of the older black lab most of the time. Coal, the Labrador, doesn't appreciate the way Mr. Chev runs at him and tries to knock the lab over....but they are great buddies. My Babies.jpg

Speaking of cameras, I photographed over 800 weddings, starting in 1972, probably before most of you folks were born. I used film mostly, 35 mm and 2 1/2 square....then switched to digital.....then finished seminary training in Chicago and began God's calling in my life as a pastor. My digital camera is not a bookend, but is in a suitcase downstairs. Mercy, memories of the satin jungle as it is called...phew. Picture of Coal catching a Frisbee.catch 1-2.jpg
