anyone here have a Golden Ret. and a Mastiff?

We have a 2 year old Golden Retriever and am wondering how these two breeds would get along. I have always loved Mastiffs and would love for our golden to have a pal.

As long as there are rules and you take the time to introduce them they should get along great. We have rotties, corsi and puppies in the house at the moment and all are doing great. The puppies get a little fresh at times but the adults take it all in stride.

Dont have a GR but my aunt does, and I have an EM and they see each other quite a bit and they do great. She is an older GR but she still trys to play with him for a little while. When she is done playing we tell him no and he either leaves her alone or we put him away for 2 or 3 minutes and by that time he will leave her alone if we let him out. They do good but I watch to make sure he doesn't throw his weight around on her or try to jump on her when playing. Hope this helps you.

I have a 2 1/2 yr old Golden and a 16 month old Mastiff and they get along great. Lillie (The Mastiff) came to live with us whtn hse was 4 months old.

I have a 7 yr old golden/lab mix and moose adores him. Its actually the new mastiff pup Bo and Moose that have been keeping me on my toes lol.
