An Update on Enzo

Well Enzo continued to get worse and loose weight. So we decided to take him back to the breeder for his best chance to get better. He had Coccidia and giardeah not sure if the spelling is right. Hes been there for 4 days and his diareah is gone and he is gaining weight like he should. Hes having fun playing with his brothers and sisters as well. we will be getting him back Next Sunday and we cant wait. I will post some pics of the new improved Enzo when i get him.

Glad to hear he is doing well. Make sure your yard has any of his previous waste cleaned up to make sure there is nothing lingering that he might be able to re-infect himself with. If you live in an area that gets really cold you are probably fine but warmer areas can keep the stuff re-infecting your animals. We had a huge problem in our marsh areas this year with this coming in on the wildfowl.

Ya its been below 20 degrees here for the past couple weeks and most of his waste that i didnt get cleaned up is covered in snow. I was assuming that this cold weather would kill most things lingering in the grass.

I spoke to the breeder yesterday and at 8 weeks Enzo is up to 16 pounds hes gaining about a pound a day so when i pick him up sunday at 9 weeks he will probably be around 22 pounds so i think hes back on track.

That is wonderful news. I think you are probably fine @ home with the temperatures you are getting. I just know the vet here were happy when the freezing came in so that they could treat the dogs still with issues without worrying about re-infecting.
