My lab was diagnosed with Addisons and was on steroids for the remainder of her life. She was 7 when she was diagnosed, but she was a multiple disease dog. She passed away from multiple complications due to cancer and liver disease 8 month later
Addisons disease is manageable, but needs to be monitored frequently and steroids needs to be adjusted until you find the right dose. How old is your baby? If she is diagnosed, make sure you have her on a low fat diet and a strict exercise program, since the steroids will make them hungry and that = over weight if not exercised. They will also start to drink more and will need more frequent bathroom breaks. Good luck with everything and I pray that all will be well
