This is a male ??Boerboel maybe 2 years old who was abandoned at a fire stations. Fireman's wife took dog home. Friendly, good with dogs and kids. Does this scare anyone besides me if it is a boerboel? It's been in their house for only a day, they can't keep it. They are trying to find the owners. Any ideas if it's a boerboel. Anyone know who might safely take this pup rather than take him to a shelter?

Looks like a BB to me, poorly bred but yes a BB, according to temperament, I doubt I'd be scared. A EM broken from his normal routine, would be more likely to snap outwardly from fear. BB's are generally more independent.

I can't find out what happened to him but there were lots of folks who seemed to be interested in taking him home. I would just hate to see him go into a shelter and not get to a good home.

I don't have a guess on breed, but if they can't keep him, I'd say check the area for local dog - large dog -rescues. The rescues around here are very careful to make sure that the dogs and potential homes are a great fit for one another.
