    Thanks, Boxer Girl.
Most of the "favorite pictures" don't involve a mastiff, but....the posting seemed to be acceptable to the powers that be.

Beautiful! Looks like Coal loves the water. I can't wait to see how Zeela likes the water when it is warm enough here to hit the lakes/beaches.

I love the photos!!!! What kind of camera are you using?

Didn't we used to have a photography section under hobbies or something? We should totally bring that back since we have so many amazing photographers on here. :)

The cardinal picture reminds me of a picture my daughter painted for my wife on a cast iron griddle, with the faded back drop, Pastor Dave you are an artist as well. I wish I had the gift as you do. Very nice, thanks for sharing.

Thanks, everyone. I shared about the cameras on a different posting .... the one about flea collars I think. Coal in the water and the tree a sunrise was with my kind of normal Nikon digital. The lady cardinal was taken with my larger DSLR Pentax and 300 MM lens. I was hiding behind a "camo cloth thing" with a hole in it for my camera lens. I sat in the chill of morning till the birdie showed up. The blue heron pic, also on the "should I use a flea collar??" post was taken with a more-or-less normal everyday camera.

And TRG, that is a really nice hummingbird painting - I mentioned elsewhere that I waited for a hummingbird on my deck by the (what else) hummingbird feeder. I set the camera to take the picture at 1/500th of a second. The hummingbird's wings were still a blur. I took that with a big Kowa (poor man's Hasselblad)...anyway...those hummingbirds are amazing. Have a great day.

Zeela, these Black Labs really enjoy the water, swimming, etc. Where do you live??? It is cold here, too.

That is quite the dedication to getting the perfect picture PastorDave and it definitely shows. I love the new cattle photo as well. Thank you for sharing. It brought a smile to my face on a stressful morning. :)

Thanks, Nik. The cow on your left is smiling at you...perhaps he can lighten the stress, too. I think the one on the right is smiling at me ?? Someone once pointed out to me that the word "disease" is essentially, "dis" and "ease." I'm sure you handle the stress well. Although I have always kind of doubted the affect of stress and sickness, I suppose it can happen. How do you feel about such matters ??? Healing has always been a bit mysterious to me. I recently visited a very old lady in the hospital, and I prayed for her; and she went from gray to pink, from the nursing home to home in a few days. Other times, I don't see an immediate effect of prayer. Let me know, and thanks. Here is a flower by moonlight...glad you enjoy my pics, even the cows !!! Night flower B&W 2 Low Quality.jpg

Thanks, April. You are more than kind. Coal is slowing down a bit, but he still loves to chase. I take it easy on him as he has, like me, gotten a bit more mature. He is 8 1/2...I guess that might be middle age for a lab, but perhaps more. I heard a country song that was to the tune of "Delta Dawn", but it was titled "Delta Dog." It started, "She was just 18 but that's 112 in dog years." Another country song I heard on the radio was something like this: "I can't get over you, so you get up and turn out the light." Oh the joys of radio, huh ??

If a picture of cows makes you smile, Nik, you must be a lot of fun to be around !!!
