A dog's body language

What kind of effing idiot is the guy with the rottweilers??? Honestly if someone approached me 1) with dogs behaving like his, 2) with idiotic comments like his, or 3) a voice as annoying as his, I would have politely excused myself...quickly.

hahahahahhahaha. I didn't have sound when I first saw the video, but now I see what you mean. I am not surprised at his comments at all.

I agree with you, the guy is an idiot (I've watched a few of his videos in the past, and if he ever came up to me with his dogs barking I'd tell him to keep walking, lol), and it was totally his fault NOT the mastiffs. I really wish people would pay attention to their dog's body language...

WOW! Mastiff owners should pay more attention to their pup rather than chatting with the rott owner. SMH

Well at least she was well trained on holding onto the other end of the leash!! That girl was tiny and she held on, gotta give her props for that. Yeah, I can't imagine myself having a chat with a guy like that.

I watched the vid and I see a change in body language at about 39 seconds in, you can see a lowered head and a tail wag that is drooped and weak, which means he is unsure and the dog changes his position from having his back to the dogs to facing them, if you also notice the mastiff trys to position himself closer to the stroller, he new these 2 rotts were acting unstable and was not liking them barking. The is a douche bag in my opinion, in one of his vids he says his dogs are well trained, well he puts his dogs in a sit and goes to pet a bully and his dogs proceed to brake the sit and get up and it takes him to tell them to sit a few times before they sit down again lol, this guy is an idiot !!!

Poor dog was trying to avoid and ignore the whole time. Not really sure what changed on the rottie's side that made him finally snap.

THis guy says his dogs like to bark at pit bulls and mastiffs??? Why would you ALLOW your dogs to bark at anything or anyone while out walking???? Just by the way he was allowing his dogs out front straining on the leashes acting aggressive by barking and im sure lunging towards the mastiff, would make any dog uneasy and he didn't correct his dogs from acting this way either.

His gladiator Rotts are barking because he told them to!!! They are so well trained. They are protective and do anything he tells them to!! He's unbelievable and he's got so many people donating money to him!!!!

I'll add to the pile-on- this guy is an idiot, for sure.

And didn't the Mastiff owner say that their dog was not friendly to other dogs? (Hard to hear, but that's what it sounded like.)

So, why did he bait him with his unruly Rotties?

I would have been stronger in saying basically, get out of our space- keep moving, dude...

The first video I ever seen from this guy was this one "Cane Corso off leash VS Two Rottweilers". My CC would have behaved like this one in the video, hang back, avoid his dogs, and watch me, except he would not go up to the guy to get petted. Although I won't say that this one is really enjoying the interaction either, looks kind of unsure and uninterested in getting petted by him. Seems like his dogs always end up bark when they approach other people's dogs, he even admits to not trusting one of them around other dogs... yet he keeps approaching people. And I hate how almost every video he posts is titled so and so VS rottweilers, it's all about sensationalizing the headline so he can get more views.

You're right! He said he's not good with other dogs and something like doesn't do well with other dogs. I watched the clip again and when the mastiff spotted the rotties, he was getting aroused and was actually uneasy the whole time. Why in the hell would they not pay closer attention if they already knew that their dog was not good with other dogs? *face palm*

I haven't seen this video before. The CC was so well behaved! I have to say though...the CC owner was kind of an idiot..."she's cool, she's cool, she's not dog aggressive...". The problem is not your dog dude, the problem is the one you are petting.......SIGH.

I have to say, whenever somebody tells their dog to "be nice, be nice" it's always a red flag for me...ugh.

Lol anyone else notice the CC owner's bottle of rex goliath wine that I'm assuming he's drinking straight out of in the park? I also HATE when strangers pet my dogs the way he kept doing to the rottie, it's like the dog version of a noogie. Humans don't like it, why would dogs? My dogs are fine with people petting them, but you can tell they really do not enjoy that particular petting style.

Haha, yeah, I thought it was curious him drinking it straight out of the bottle at what I assume is a public park. And I agree with you, I also HATE when people pet dogs the way he is petting the rottie, my CC does not approve either.

Another great video, EVERY dog owner should watch. Very informative. Thanks Hector!

Glad you liked it! I should make a compilation of my dog-dog interactions that goes on in my house. Some are quite interesting, most are just silly.

I want to catch up and see some of these other videos, but all I watched was the first rotty one, and WOW. Yes, I instantly saw the shifts in body language. The kid was really the one doing the most social harm on Team Mastiff, because he was being friendly and open to this butt muncher (please excuse me, but this guy is a complete freaking idiot). The two adults had closed body language, weren't engaging, and I think the man knew something was awry because he began stroking the mastiff when he started tensing, but he may not have been fully conscious of what was happening.

If I saw two rotts walking toward me like that and my dog was DA, I would either leave the area immediately or warn the guy from afar not to come within X feet of my family. If he parked himself where he did, frankly I would probably take out a nightstick. I would not trust that guy for a second to control those barking dogs, and that is a STROLLER. NO WAY would I be out with a baby and my dog and not have a weapon stashed somewhere. I'm a lot less friendly than most people, though, and I am very distrustful of arrogant, cocky, imposing people like this guy.

Bottom line: if one of those dogs got loose (and I've seen powerful breeds drag down their owners and break free quite violently), I would want to be prepared.

One day this guy is going to cause a serious fight, if this is how his "training" works, and I hope those dogs are rehomed. :(

No, they will never be rehomed. He rescued them and is making money off of those videos. He put them up on craigslist awhile back to sell these extraordinarily protection trained gladiator rottweilers. He wanted this much money ($$$$) lol. He put them up on craigslist because he was upset Brutus smashed his old pekingese (Monkey) so he was going to get rid of them once and for all. I guess no one in their right mind wanted to buy them and he was too poor not to make videos. Some people....

I feel like in a lot of those videos, he can tell the owners are not really capable of holding or controlling their dogs and he tries really hard to provoke them. Maybe he's hoping for a dog fight one of these days...
