We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.
Having had many different breeds over the years, I have never had an issue with paper ingestion (as long as it was paper) as it always been passed through without difficulties. A 6 month old Neo should have a GI tract large enough to pass it especially if he shredded it as he ingested. Remi my bullmastiff pup shared a paper towel with my 10+ year old golden yesterday. She's not even more flatulent than usual.
I just returned home from the store to find that the chocolate lab ate an entire pound of butter I left on the counter to warm so I could bake a cake! He ate the paper and half the box too. I'll bet within an hour or so, his will slide on through! Now back to the store for more butter. I'm leaving him(the lab) in the crate and the mastiff pup loose.
Do dogs have "middle of the room" radar? 15 feet from the back door where the yard is and the lab chooses the middle of my family room rug to throw up the butter/paper/box. Why can't they make it to the tile where it can be bleached up afterwards? And yes, it was at midnight.
I've had dogs eat paper money, a whole roll of paper towels, fast food bags and wrappers, napkins, paper plates, etc. Not a single one has had a problem passing them
Max ate the button rail from the bannister when I was out once and he was fine. I'd not worry about a paper plate.
Mind you the way he eats is not worry about a China plate either.
