1st heat ...normal that she smells

Zoe has her first heat and is on week 2.5 and has kept herself pretty clean, just spots of blood here and there. We haven't found any the last two days but she still keeps licking herself a lot. I have noticed she has a strong odor the last few days. It's on and off. The whole room she is in will smell. Is this normal? She is acting normal, a little testy with the other dog but other than that she has been fine.

Well...some smell is normal. Blood has an iron metallic smell, if it is a blood-type smell, I'd say it's okay, but if it is a mouldy or foul smell it means a trip to the vet.
