12 Week old female Underweight?

I have a 12 week old Cane Corso. Got her at 8 weeks. She was probably about 9 lbs when i got her. She now weighs 16 lbs. She was the smallest and i was aware of that when i got her. However from what i'm reading that's small for her age. Like really small. Should i be worried? She's extremely active and seems overall very healthy. She is thin but doesn't look unhealthy. I check her stool and see no worms. She was dewormed about 4 weeks ago. Her stool is firm. Eats and drinks normally. I'm feeding the recommended amount (actually a little bit more.) I haven't taken her to a vet about it just cause i thought maybe i was worrying for nothing but she just doesn't seem to be gaining weight like i'm reading she should be. If she turns a certain way you can see ribs but they aren't visible all the time. I'm fine with her being small for her breed just want to make sure something isn't wrong. Also a part of me wonders if she younger then they said. Thoughts? These are pictures from today.

She is adorable. I would have a fecal sample sent to the vet because my girls seemed healthy and found out the have giardia which can affect nutrition absorption. They have been on the meds for 10 days and one has really gained some weight. I also changed them to a higher quality food and am hoping to see them gain some weight. I am just being calm with the slow steady weight so that there isn't an impact to their bones and joints. Slow and steady is what my vet is looking for, because as other posters have said they will grow to what their genetics dictate as opposed to what I want them to grow to.

Please don't worry, your pups body condition looks great for her age! Please do not get caught up in the stats on your dog like sooooo many seem to do, it is also believed by many that a lot of people "over estimate" their dogs sizes because they get so caught up in the competition like atmosphere of the size of everyone's corso. A full grown female corso is only supposed to be 85-100lbs Fully grown, so not reaching that weight till 18-30months roughly. You want to keep a focus on body condition not number weight, the back two ribs should be just visible at the right angle, there's a good body condition chart floating around on this forum if you do a search for it. The only time my dogs get weighed is at the vet because they require it and for any possible medication dose sizes. And like tmricciuto was telling you nothing but genetics will dictate the size your dog will grow to, all you can really effect is weight and too much weight on a young corso can lead to a plethora of health and mobility issues you want lean, with slow steady growth.
She is beautiful and I wish you the best of luck with that gorgeous girl and you def found a GREAT resource for corso info, training, and fans!

It's really easy to worry yourself about your puppy's weight if you start comparing to puppies from different lines. My EM Kryten was 20 lbs lighter than puppies around his age and that included smaller breeds. I had to decide to ignore what I read about how big he should be or how much weight he should be putting on weekly and go solely by his body condition. From your description and the pictures it sounds like she's growing the way she is supposed to.

Thanks everyone! That makes me feel much better! I'm glad to know there isn't necessarily a specific weight your pup should be at a certain age. I will go ahead and get a fecal test done just to be sure she doesn't have something, but i definitely won't worry as much. I appreciate all the feedback and kind words. She IS pretty adorable isn't she? ;)
