We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.
Just curious if a 10 month male bully at 75 lbs is this normal? I keep him lean, but he looks good to me. I haven't seen any males that small. He gets fed twice a day now 2 1/4 cups with bones in between.
My boy is 8mo @ 88lbs I feed him 3cups twice a day and raw 3 days out of the week. (Exceptions for holidays). I'm sure appearance is more important than weight. There's a good chart someone here has that can post for you to compare to.

That is on the smaller side, but if he looks and acts normal, I wouldn't be too concerned with it. He will eventually grow to the size that he is meant to be.

My pup, was on the smaller side too, but currently, he's about 120 at 14 months. He'll fall around the top of the breed standard or more when he thickens up. The most important thing is he's healthy.
Sorry still trying to figure out how to posts pictures here..anyway here is Calvin 76 lb 10 month bull mastiff. As you can see he has what we call dancne. I wish I could get that under control the pimples look gross. I clean his stainless steel bowl daily..perhaps it's from bones?
How big were his parents, did you ever see them? I would assume he would get close to the same size of his parents. His body condition looks great to me, so you have a healthy, athletic pup.
As said above, he looks great to me too - better a slow consistent weight gain through the first couple years than just piling on the pounds as quickly as possible to reach some general idea of "size". Better to end up with an active, healthy 120lb adult than a 160lb couch potato that can't walk around the block without being all in.
Your boy looks great, I wouldn't be too concerned. As for the puppy acne, a simple solution of Apple cider vinegar diluted with water works great. Jus wet a rag with it and wipe him dwn. I use braggs acv.
size is completely determined by genetics / Bloodlines. size of parent and grandparents. He looks healthy to me . his Body condition is good and he looks great!. feeding him more will not make him grow larger it will only make him fat. He may have another growth spurt depending on how his genetics mature. but by 1 year he will be as tall as he will get and have the majority of his weight . the second year will be muscle mass and widening. But 75 pounds is fine he will likely be on the smaller side of the standard at maturity.
Thanks his father was 125 and mother was 100. I'm fine with him on the smaller side I just get every single person ask me if he's a boxer..it's really annoying..I'm ready to get a sign when we go for walks saying im not a boxer im a bullmastiff. Lol

People usually think my boy is a pit bull, or I get comments about him being striped like a tiger.
For whatever reason, brindle dogs aren't popular in my area, so many people claim that it is their first time seeing a dog with those markings.
I definitely get a lot of attention when I walk out in public.
Based on the weight of his parents, he seems like hes in line to be within the breed standard. Most of the Bullmastiffs that I see online are beyond the standard nowadays. People have gotten obsessed with the bigger is better mentality I guess. My boys parents were 150 and 125, so I expect him to probably be a little bit over the breed standard in size too.
I would say that he is going to be on the smaller side, by looking at his feet. He looks good and don't worry what others say about him! If he is anything like my Major, you got to wonder how his body holds his big heart that is so loving. I get asked all the time if Major is a boxer and he is 6+ months old and weighs 70+ lbs, I think it is just the coloring why they ask that.
Major eats 5 cups food a day, split up into 3 meals. Got him a food ball the other day and he rolls it around until empty or stuck under bed!
Yea his feet are not that big. I actually don't care if he tops the scale with his weight. At this point he's big enough for my family. He's very sweet and really smart. He gets along with my 6 lb yorkie...they are best buddies. I'm thinking he will end up 90 lbs. I wonder if the fact that he is smaller than maybe his life span will be a little longer?
My almost 15 month old girl is 80-84 pounds. I doubt she will ever be more than 90. She is our munchkin and that is fine with us. My other 3 were well over 105 pounds at this age and toped out at 130-140 for the males and 120 for the female. Smaller stature is a good thing-less strain on the joints, less cost of meds(thank God only 1 heart worm pill instead of 2) and hopefully that translates into longer life
Imo he looks absolutely great! Lighter bull mastiffs are much more athletic I find.
My 15 month old girl was on track to about 85lbs at 10 months old. She's now just over 100lbs and I've never waivered from 3 cups a day. I couldn't imagine feeding her anymore food than that. And too much more size would make her look a little strange given her structure.
I still want a male to accompany her now though but wife says no
