    Raw food diet

In my experience (Raw feeding 14 years) most dogs want more food. I do not believe there is a need to increase his food, 10% body weight is good for now. Pay attention to his condition as this will be the best indicator if more / less food is required. As he is a giant breed to protect his...

    Bo and Luke (Bloodhound cousins)

Hi Bolushi, The bloodhound is not a breed I have ever seen in the flesh in Ireland but I did see on TV a few years ago trials for a working Irish search and rescue Bloodhound. Do the dogs in the photos hunt / work, can you tell us a bit about them ?

Fasting Raw fed dog & 2 meals or 1 ?

Hi Dolcecorso, I originally feed my dogue 2 x per day. This was usually at 12 hour intervals 8am & 8pm but not always. Just before she turned 2 y/o I switched to 1 meal. I feed 1.2 kgs (2.65 lbs) raw in one sitting now and in my opinion its working out great. I would not think 4lbs is too much...

    Bulid muscles

I believe you can't go wrong with walking, walking and more walking for building up muscle tone and condition. As Glen mentioned the joints so don't over do it.

Fasting Raw fed dog & 2 meals or 1 ?

Hi All, It is over a year since my post but I have since moved her to 1 meal per day which I feed in the morning and I am happy with how it is working out. I have not introduced a fasting day as a rule but have on occasion if she had any gastro issue with soft runny stool. FYI she is a RAW fed...

    Fódhla - DDB from Ireland

Photo update. Fódhla now 2 years 9 months. Probably not the most ''Typey'' Dogue De Bordeaux out there but she is a fit and functional mastiff. Not sure of her current weight but to me she looks her best at 38-40kg She is raw fed and unneutered DDB who likes to run. We started to run together a...
