That is very interesting. I used to wonder why police didnt use more physically impressive dogs such as the Corso vs shepherds and Rotties. I found out its because Corso just dont have the work drive that these German breeds have. Im sure there are lots of Corso people who would hate to hear that but its true. These dogs are happy go lucky dogs that enyoy human contact and love and offer protection in return. I dont think that they are as trainable as the typical shepherd or whatever they typically use.....but dont mistake that for a lack of intelligence. Trainability and intelligence dont always go hand in hand. These dogs have strong minds of thier own. reguardless, if i were a crook, i would much rather get caught by a german shepherd than a Corso. Just from my hunting experience, a Corso can do a lot of damage on something, very quickly. Thats probably another reason that they arent as commonly used.
