  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Please help my 7yo Cane Corso AkC allergic to THE & NOW THIS? Staph? Mange?

We've been battling food allergies, environmental allergies, oh my gosh, it just seems, EVERYTHING for years now! I briefly recall doing an allergy test when he was around 2yo? Found out chicken was culprit. Who knew Big diet changes. Finally on our way, but then we had to have big move from Chicago to NW Tennessee on emergency for family reasons, to help a sick family member. So more stress and more skin issues :( His beautiful looks went bye bye. Was JUST DISCOVERED he ALSO HAS a low thyroid. So that adds to this between all the vet visits and washing and medicines, he's a mess. I'm literally in cuz I feel like I'm losing the battle. This country Dr is nice as heck, but what are yalls opinion? Is it just severe allergies? Or am I right thinking mange or staph now!!

Now THIS one? I dunno. My first reaction was a recluse bite because I thought necrotic tissue? But I truly wonder if a staph infection? He sure feels like he has a fever, and he has not touched HIS food. But he's eaten hamburger meat and fruits n veggies. He's drinking, but not as much. I washed him real good again today to keep the areas clean and had him outside for awhile, but not too long

Last one, I promise. He's my fourth child. I can't sleep because of this!!
Hi how long do you have him wearing the prong collar? No judgment I have one for my girl. Was just wondering if he has developed an metal allergy. And that can travel threw the blood stream to other areas. I’ve seen it in humans and dogs

I was wondering about the prong. We tried one with our girl and it caused a medical issue. Once it was replaced with a leather collar, she recovered fast. It wasn't a metal allergy, but it affected her glands and caused unbearable/unstoppable drool x 100 and a very sad, sad, sad dog that looked and acted like she was drowning in all that goo.

Just consider changing collars while you also seek other possible healing protocols.

Hi :) The ONLY time he wears that silly thing is when we are either going to the vet or outside (using a leash?). Even when I am outside? I don't even hold the leash unless a person is walking by and I need to hold it I live in a VERY RURAL area, and simply want to make sure we are "safe" and obeying leash laws, even though my boy stays practically ON MY LAP

HOWEVER EVERYONE!! I am happy to report (well,we not happy, but an answer) its discovered we found out he has a low thyroid & that's messed up everything! Plus an infection. So now that we have gotten over the course of antibiotics and on a regimen of thyroid medicine? It's like a major turn-around has happened!! I go this weekend for a re-check on his blood-level to see where we are at, but from my point? He's the old pup I remember

As with myself, THYROID has SO much to do with the body and what a moment!! I will be curious to see what weight he lost? I know from being sick, he lost 11 pounds, but with these thyroid pills and his energy being back? I can actually feel and see it!!

Thank you everyone I'll come back with updates!
