Hello-we are thrilled with our new girl. She’s 13 weeks old and already 45lbs. Sweetest pup and very smart. Love this breed of mastiff.

Welbome to the forum and the wonderful word of mastiffs
She is beautiful, looking forward to seeing the pics of her growing and her bed shrinking. And that really does happen quick.

Gorgeous! I want snuggles with puppies. They smell so good, and they are so life affirming. They fill a house with love and joy!

But as Glen noted, they grow so quickly that the sweet puppy time is gone quickly. Thank God even my older girl still loves to snuggle her mommy on the big bed.

PS: If you don't have a big bed...get one. Mastiffs are notorious bed hogs, and mine likes to stretch her entire length along my body. She he's 2/3 of bed, I get 1/3...Maybe!

One of our older members had two dogs, and had two king size beds pushed up against each other, and it was just enough for the three of them to stretch out comfortably

She flops down like a sack of potatoes on the floor/carpet. You’d think she was full grown with the weight of her! And only at 13 weeks. It’s very exciting watching this Adorable Boerboel blossom. Will def take the advice on bed purchases.

Congratulations! I love her coloration!

I, too, hope you keep us along on your journey with her and post lots of pics! I have wondered if a Boerboel is right for my choice of next dog; but I have been worried that it might not be a safe dog to have around my children.

I don't know if I can trust the dogs from the breeder I'm interested in. The Boerboel seems like a lot of dog and I don't know how trustworthy its temperament is.

NOT to offend you or anyone. I just have questions as I conduct breed research. :)

So far Daisy has a wonderful temperament. Very friendly towards people coming to our home and with meeting people on walks. She’s a bit timid with other dogs but we’ve not been able to fully socialize her until she is completely Vetted. Aside from basic manners (sit, come, and potty trained) that Daisy picked up extremely quickly, we are allowing her to be a true puppy. We have teenagers and they’ve lived with Dobermans and Black Mouth Curs since they were born. Our black Mouth cur had a very similar temperament that our Boerboel does now. Very smart, dedicated to the family (even at 14 wks) and definitely a Velcro dog!
