poor Sophie, it will grow fast! she's a cutie! so funny, Sophie seems to be a popular dog name, I know more that a few little dogs named Sophie.

It's already growing back. Lol...
I agree Sophie is a very popular dog name. I think it's more popular for dogs than people. I like it, it suits her.

He just keeps growing and growing...
Logan's doing great. He's really enjoying the cooler weather, as are we. He is going on 9 months old. Don't know his weight, but his height is just below 29 in. He has a long body. Here are some pics of him with my hubby next to a 6 ft. fence

Great pictures! He‘s huge already. How is he doing in summer with all the heat and humidity? I was wonderint how breeds such as the CAS, CS, or TBM adjust to our climate.

Thanks! He is getting huge. Its hard to tell in the photos.

He did very well with the heat and humidity. Central Asia spans the area between the Caspian Sea and China. It includes five countries, therefore has vast climates. Because of their nomadic lifestyle, CAS developed to be very adaptable to the changing climates of Central Asia. Heat waves in the summer months can reach 104° He does seem to prefer the colder weather though.

As for Caucasian Shepherds. There are mixed reviews about heat tolerance. I do know that the regions around the Caucasus Mountains have diverse temperatures also.

I have read that Tibetan Mastiffs don't do well in hot humid climates. I'm not sure how factual that is, but the Himalayas are pretty cold.

Avriel, my daughter, playing with Logan. She didn't want to go into the yard with him cause he drools all over us! Lol. And she was dressed to go to work. He's so funny. He wanted her to play ball.

Good information, thanks for sharing. Agreed on the Caucasus region. As far as I know, there are areas where temperatures range from 0-100 degrees F, so very extreme. I will talk some more to the German breeder who keeps his CS there. Temperatures over there are not as extreme, but they can range from 20-100 degrees in extreme cases. I‘m sure those dogs are very adaptable.

Nine months? No way! It seems like only a few weeks ago you were counting down to picking him up and your daughter was making her game about it. This year has flown by!

I know Boxergirl, this year has flown by. What a difference 9 months can make in a dogs growth. Logan's kennel name is Soul of Asia Nabat. This is a video of him as a pup.

OH MY LANTA he is a biggen. So beautiful. I am in the process of getting bids for a wood privacy fence. The netting isn't doing the trick. Logan is standing up in front of a fence with a gentleman handing him a treat. Can you tell me how high that fence is.? I would like 8 ft. but it is twice as expensive as a 6 ft.? He looks amazing!!!! I am in muzzle hell with Max. His huge head. Oh my. The shepherds fit is good. We are on round 3 of muzzle's. & the lips are crazy. I am OK on the rotation program til we can figure. Time is on my side. Take Care, Deny

Oh Logan is so gorgeous!
Slobber and hair / fur no biggie....for the hair a small hand vacuum works well....I'll vacuum the pets then the house.....just makes sense that way lol. Once they get use to it most dogs and cats love it! Slobber....just teach Mr Logan to pick up a hand towel.....My command word is face..... I'll tell Bella to wash her face.....it's a game to her.....she picks up the hand towel and wants to play tug-a-war..... the towel absorbs the excess drool....Bella gets to play.... everyone's happy
