  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Just a little ranting!

Ok so those who know me know I live out in farm country.... Every spring someone dumps their old hanging plant pots in the ditch just down the road from me....also ever New Year we get a Christmas tree dumped....now this week it was old patio chairs! Gggrrrrrr!

First their dumping their crap in a water way that feeds directly into our local creek! Who know what kind of chemicals has been used on the now dead plants in those pots! The farmer field where this crap is being dumped grows food!
Never mind those chemicals that are now leaking into our local watershed!!

Every freaky year!
I think it's time to write a letter to the local newspaper editor!

Ok I'm done

That would be so annoying! Sounds like it’s time to set up a trail camera!

I'll never understand people. Dumping their garbage - which far too often also includes their unwanted cats and dogs - in the country is just so wrong. It happened all the time to my friends in rural areas. I grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. Literally. It may as well have been out in the country to everyone in town. We were sandwiched between the Mississippi River and the Sante Fe tracks on one side and the Burlington Northern tracks were 30 feet from the house on the other side. We had a very large field across the street (by one of the smaller Schaeffer pen plants if anyone remembers those pens), as well as a junk yard. The number of dogs, cats, and trash dumped in that field and along the tracks was disgusting. I get very riled up by stuff like this. If it's at all practical I would do as Jarena suggested and get a camera so you can start reporting this stuff. I know it's usually just a fine, but at least it's something.

We live in the countryside also, very pretty and quiet, we get the same because of this, we got some signs just saying smile your on camera and put them in different spots, it stopped them dumping

Also a very good idea!!

The signs are a great idea! Most people will be more likely to behave themselves if they think they are being watched!

Good luck, Sheila. I can't believe how disrespectful people are of other people's property and the environment. I hope it's going to stop going forward.

I would love to put a trail camera up except there's nothing to chain it too....but I do like the idea of the signs.
