Food dish help

I have a raised dish and it holds the food just fine however my baby is able to move it all over the place. There is no way to weight it down. I tried a mat underneath, nope.
What do you use to feed? Are there any heavy weight non skid bowls around?

Hi and welcome.

Could you take a picture of the raised bowl that your dog uses? Just go to "Upload a File" just below this box when you are typing. Then hit "choose a file." Then choose "full image." If the size isn't too much (my usual problem), you'll be able to show us your unit.

Just a thought though...can you put it in a corner of the kitchen where the walls shape inhibits its movement?

I'd brace it against a wall, then put a towel in front of it or use some door-stops, depending on the design of the feeder...

Ours is on legs, and Denna doesn't push it around (and she licks the dish pretty forcefully at times). I suppose if it ever did try to move, I could get four hunks of clay and make some 'sticky' footpads for the legs to stick into. The feeder is on a plastic mat, so no worry about the clay causing issues with the flooring.

I ended up using a rubber bottomed bowl on top of an upside down Rubbermaid container on top of a sticky bottomed rug. He can still slide the bowl around on the container but the recess bottom holds it on top and the container takes more effort to move. I do have to put it back in location every couple of days but some of that is the cat deliberately moving it so she has an easier way up to the window sill. Strange cat will spend 15 minutes moving the container 6 inches rather than jump 6 inches higher in the first jump (which she does for the other windows).

I bought a neater feeder with the extended legs when its needed and a rubber mat to place underneath PROBLEM SOLVED :)
